Mcdonald's - One just can't read this and not think of Jules Winnfield

Disclaimer: I think McDonald's is the "Go-To" place…read more(state-side) for a great deal on a large unsweet tea. That said, any other order I make at McDonalds is one where I am too impatient to go somewhere else, and I throw caution to the wind. OK - since that is out of the way... During my ten-day stay in Eu, I certainly enjoyed the finer gastronomique aspects of life. Quality ingredients were not hard to find. the Wednesday market in the town square provided nearly all ('cept for the fresh sea urchins purveyed at the Treport seafood market). While away from the free Orange wi-fi hub in downtown Eu, I stumbled upon this gem - McDonalds (- right across from Auchan - the definitive hypermarket.) Truth be told, this is likely that myriad other "MacDo's" across France, but since it is the first French McDonald's I've ever been to, it retains somewhat of a mystic quality to it. First, the menu itself... The "Casse Croute" is the newest addition to the MacDo menu. it comes in three options (1. Oriental (mini-baguette with fried potato discs "atop" two burger patties), 2. Poulet Poivre (same deal, sub-out the burger patties for two McChicken patties) and 3. same deal, sub-out previously mentioned for ham/swiss slices). - this li'l deal, with a Coke, will set you back 4.5 Euros. "Traditional Mickey D fare" combos are as follows: Filet-o-fish (can't see how they stuck with the original nomenclature...). $6.7 Euro 6 Chicken Nuggets - 6.6 McChicken - 6.9 Royal Bacon - 7 Royal Cheese 7 Royal Deluxe -7 Big Mac - 6.4 "Le M" - 7 Chicken Mythic - 7 There are the value meal options as well - but you can zoom in on the accompanying picture for those. the drive-through is billed as "McDonald Drive" - The play structure is sold as "RonaldLand" So - anyway - if someone is truly "Jonesing" for Mickey D's, I regret to say that the option is alive & well, and (like kudzu) permeating the most quaint of old-country countrysides...
