If you have curls, go to Vanity Reece!…read more I've been here two times, first time I hade longer hair but wanted to make it shorter and sort of mohawk like. Vanity Reece did an amazing job doing that, exactly how I imagined it. The next time I went to fix it up a bit after the hair grown too long, she did it EVEN BETTER! She introduced some of her own ideas, and the result. Was. Amazing :) On top of that, aha also speaks English and is super sweet! I'll let the photo speak for itself. I'm so sad I can't take her with me when moving from Hamburg :(

Went today to get a haircut. Found this place on Qype and decided to check it out since many of the…read morereviews were good. I didn't reserve with a specific person but luckily Ines was available and cut my hair. Well, what can I say? I couldn't be happier. I wanted to change my haircut and do something "new". Short, easy to style, not too crazy but different. She was a pleasure to talk to (and yeah guys, she's a hottie too) . She made a couple recommendations, showed me some pics and we decided together on a cut. It's already a treat to get your hair washed. I could of fallen asleep. When she actually started cutting I was at first a bit skeptical but as the haircut started taking shape, I realized this was going to be good. Once done, I'm real happy I decided to try this place out. The head and shoulder massage at the end of the cut is a perfect end to a session at the hairstylists. I found the price (EUR35) fair and felt well treated as part of the whole experience, including the location and feel of this salon. I'll definitely be back and this time specifically to have Ines cut my hair again. I highly recommend her to guys looking for a good haircut and someone really nice to deal with!

So, I've been in Hamburg for about two months, and desperately in need of a haircut for most of…read morethat time. However, since I don't speak German, it was a harrowing prospect. Eventually I ended up at Heuerstyle because it was relatively close, highly rated, and (most importantly?) I could book online. I left a note via Google Translate saying that hopefully we can get by with pictures and broken English, and Jan-Mark replied almost immediately saying that English wouldn't be a problem. I saw Eylem, and she was fantastic. She speaks German, Turkish, and a small amount of English. Combine that with the fact that my German classes haven't started yet, and there was very little language overlap. We had some fun bits of vocabulary (she referred to my cowlick as "a tornado", when I said I wasn't picky she said, "...like swine?"), but we made it through. Honestly, her English was far better than she had implied, and the actual haircut was a great experience. The shop itself is really nice with a garden out back, but I got to spend a little more time in the garden than I would have preferred because they were running about 40 minutes late. However, considering everything else, I'm more than willing to give this a pass and assume it's not the normal situation. Also, considering how late it was, I was worried that it would be rushed, but I never once felt like they were just hurrying me out to finish up for the day. Despite the fact that I'm moving to the other side of the Alster, I do believe this will be my regular shop.

I initially chose the place because of the good reviews and because some of the hairdressers speak…read moresome English, and I'm really glad that I did. The staff was friendly and inviting, and despite a little bit of a language barrier, in the end I got exactly the haircut I wanted. My hairdresser Eylem spent like an hour and a half on my hair, making sure it was perfect and exactly how I wanted it. She's clearly very experienced and cares about doing a good job. I would definitely go there again.
