This by far is the best experience I've ever had at an ER. Staff was nice and very nurturing.

So I am here visiting and I was suffering from a bad sinus infection. From the moment I walked in I…read moreknew I was at the right place. The front staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the good fortune of having Dr Patel see me. She was great and explained everything. Imagine my surprise that she cared enough to give me the injection. I even commented that normally a staff member gives them she laughed and said she like taking care of her patients. So what is my complaint? The DR P moved from Louisiana to come here. Come back to LA the food is waiting for you

I originally didn't plan to post a review but here we are. I had been in excruciating pain and felt…read morethe ER was my only option to get answers. I received a bloodwork panel and the standard IV infusions as a precaution. Here's where the concern sets in - I asked the doctor at least 3x if she saw fluid in my body, which I knew 95% it was fluid, but trust the experts right..? This was obviously very concerning for me as I'm a black women and self-advocacy is huge in experiences like this, also I had no idea what was ultimately happening with my body. Ultimately, if the doctor would've prescribed the necessary meds to expel the fluid I wouldn't have had to go 2 additional weeks with fluid in my body possibly making other matters worst (HBP). Let's not forget the pictures you see attached - this was the chosen method by the staff in how they handled taking my blood (items displayed all over the bed) PLUS sticking me over 6 times to find a vein (the last two times the nurse hit an artery and had to use a ultrasound machine).

When I was wheeled up to my floor there sat a woman playing a beautiful harp. The view from my…read moreroom was beautiful. The staff nurses in the Icu were so wonderful, kind and attentive. The Doctor's listened. They explained everything. They got me healthier than I've ever been since I first got this darn fibroid. On the way out a preacher came to see me and gave me some great advice. This hospital is well-ran and deserves an award. We don't like going to the ER, but if you have to end up in the hospital. Texas Health on Dallas Parkway is amazing.

Based on my recent surgery last week: My surgeon and the anesthesiologist were absolutely…read morefantastic, all the nurses were fantastic, but there were a few inconsistencies. The discharge paperwork said to eat whatever I wanted, but the surgeon gave me specific guidance, a handout, on a full liquid diet until my post-op appointment in 3 weeks. I am following her guidance, of course, but the discharge paperwork should say something like: follow your doctor's specific instructions. Also, I did not receive a call checking in on my status after I was discharged. I did follow up with my surgeon's office via MyChart with questions and eventually received a call from her nurse helping me with some minor post op issues, but 5 days after my surgery. In the past, I thought someone from either the doctor's office or the hospital itself called to check on the patient within a day or two (from our prior experience with Texas Health Frisco). Also, my husband stayed with me in the room overnight and I had to ask the nurses for him to be provided pillows and blankets, that would have been nice if the nurses attending me would have asked If he needed anything or even allow a caretaker meal. When I stayed at Baylor McKinney to deliver our youngest daughter over a decade ago, they allowed my husband to have a meal or two per each 24 hours of my stay at the hospital. Since I was on a full liquid diet post op, I wasn't having much or anything and I don't think It would have cost a lot to allow the 1 family member staying to take care of me be more comfortable. I understand these are super minor issues, but I would say that would bring my review up to a 5. Overall, the hospital is very clean, bright, welcoming, all the doctors, nurses, and staff were very helpful, attentive and patient, and I would absolutely recommend your hospital to anyone.

I thank God for them! The surgeons explained clearly what the plan was regarding the surgery and 2 subsequent procedures. The nursing staff was not just professional and knew their craft well, but the nurses who I saw most often were also comforting, which was something I needed. Below are the names of the doctors and staff for whom I'd like to provide a special note of commendation: Surgeons/Doctors: Dr. Panchal, Dr. Denison, Dr. Poch, Dr. Madhu. Nurses (ICU): Nicol (who was incredible!), Katrina, Shanon, Jacob, Safia, Isaiah, Adele, Isaac, Adrian, Kailee, Candice, Shawna, Deena, Heather and Mindi. Also special shout out to Jason Wright, Manager of the ICU nursing staff - he was fantastic as well and is doing a great job with the ICU nursing team! OT/PT: Scott (provided wonderful instructions and insight) and MaryAnn May God bless all of those named above for their help during this challenging phase of my life's journey! Kind regards, Ray W.

Call to complain and the head of the ER, couldn't care less. To many choices on places to go for our care, Baylor,Texas Health, Memorial, etc. We pay way too much for Insurance and deductibles to deal with a hospital system that doesn't deliver quality Care. No since of urgency for this possible blood clot Very disappointed that they didn't care about how I felt, they ever came back to the room to update me on anything. I had to call to even to get them to check on me. So my experience poor Registration was the only thing that came quickly. ($$$$) I will be calling Medicare to ensure they don't pay for services NOT given.
