If you are looking for a dependable electrician in Morristown or Jefferson City, this is the company to call. I've been doing business in this area for more than 30 years and, without question, Zion Electric is the best I have ever worked with. I had the chance to speak with the owner, who has an engineering degree and a background with both a Fortune 500 company and Y-12 in Oak Ridge. After that brief conversation, I was confident I was making the right call. Their team was organized, professional, and efficient. From the initial walkthrough to the final installation, everything was clearly communicated and well-planned. They arrived on time, had all their materials ready, and worked in a clean, structured manner that made it obvious they take pride in their workmanship. The wiring was neat, the equipment was mounted professionally, and the system was installed to meet the highest safety and reliability standards. Once complete, they thoroughly walked us through the operation so we felt confident using it. What stood out most was their attention to detail and there was no confusion, no wasted time, and no mess left behind. If you need commercial electrical work or a trusted electrician serving Morristown, Jefferson City, and the surrounding East Tennessee communities, I highly recommend Zion Electric.

He told me that after a pressure test on my gas line that there were two leaks in the gas line. He said the pipes could be rusted out and would need to be replaced. If I wanted this to pass inspection I had to okay his estimate for service for $1,155.00 This was $200 for his fee and $955.00 for the repair. I expected to be told that they dug up rusted pipes and replaced them. However, I found out that he subbed out the work to a plumbing company and the two leaks were minor. They involved changing the pipe tape where the fittings went together. This reminds me of going to the car dealer for a noise in the engine and being told it could be the transmission and if you really need to use the car then you have to approve the cost of repair. When coming back to pick up the car you are told it was just a belt, but, because you approved the cost of replacing the transmission, you have to pay $3,000 not $300 for a belt. I don't know if Alex Buie thought it is easy to take advantage of a person not present, or because it is easy to take advantage of a senior citizen, but the charge of $955 to replace the tape used where two fittings come together is exorbitant. I have no complaint with the work done, but I do have an issue with the ethics and the greed of Buie's Heating and Air Do not use this company if ethics and price are important to you.

Several other places sent back automated texts but Nick called within a few minutes. He came to the house later that day and I immediately got the sense that he was trustworthy and knew what he was doing. He took a look at our board, saw how old it was, and said that it would be risky to install an EV charger. There was no hard sell--he didn't say we had to replace it, just that it would probably be a good idea and explained why: houses draw a lot more elecricity than they did decades ago and an EV charger would probably put it over the top. A couple of other electricians had said that our board was nearing the end of its life, so everything he said made good sense. His quotes seemed very reasonable and very much in-line with what I'd seen online so I didn't even bother getting any quotes and hired him that day. As soon as the EV charger arrived, he came out and installed it and the new board. Shelling out for big jobs like this one is never fun, but we can rest easy knowing that Nick did everything right.
