Only downside with that really attentive service and care in making is the wait. You can see they are trying to get them out fast as they can but it was a ten to twenty minute wait in line (a family of six ahead of us) and then another 10 minutes before orders were ready. But that time might be best spent off the phones and enjoying your family's company right? My HEB happens to have one of those BBQ restaurants inside of it, and it's never open when I visit because I always do my grocery shopping in the morning. But this particular visit was at about 4pm. And I opted to order the exact same thing: a brisket sandwich, so that I could compare the two. I'm sure this is not news to Smokin Z's or their fans, but this was the most lopsided competition I've experienced in a while. My visit to HEB only made me appreciate Smokin Z's more, as the HEB version tasted like something made by my 11 year old nephew.
