The first visit with Tiffany was absolutely perfect! I was leaving for Ohio the next day and when the girl at a different salon canceled, I was a crying wreck. When I called here and explained my dilemma to Tiffany, she was able to see me that afternoon. She was so patient and understanding of my panic and proceeded to give me highlights and an amazing new hairstyle!! I really love this young lady and her work is beyond a 10! I saw Jenny and she did what she wanted instead of what I asked for. The color was horrible I have blonde hair and she managed to put a red tint into it. When I said something about the cut she blamed it on a cowlick I don't have. I paid good money and feel like I could have gotten better at Walmar. I can't believe it took 51 years to find a stylist who understands my hair. But I finally found Carol at Fringes! The salon is friendly and beautiful and the people there are so nice. Carol gave me a style PERFECT for my thinning hair (you can't even tell) and face. The color is gorgeous and rich. Following her instructions, I was easily able to recreate the style at home. Please do not go to Tessa, she doesn't know how to cut hair. She chopped off twice the length of my hair. My hair from the back look like someone used a ruler to cut them straight across. I cant even get layers bc the length is already super short. So disappointed :( read more

While visiting my family in Omaha over the holidays, I called up Fringes the Friday morning before New Year's and asked if I could get a cut and color appointment. They told me to come down right away, and ten minutes later I was introduced to Sarah, my stylist. I told her I wanted some red highlights, which I had never had before, and that they had to be conservative enough for a professional business environment, yet still "fun". She spent at ten minutes showing me different color options and asking questions about my likes and dislikes before she did a custom blend that she guaranteed would be red, pretty, and would not look orange as it faded. She was also thoughtful enough to ask if I wear my hair in a ponytail very often (I do), as she would do the highlights in a way that would not look like "racing stripes" with my hair pulled back. After working on the color and a shampoo/rinse, Sarah gave me an excellent haircut that met my specifications ("just" long enough to put in a ponytail, also with some layers and volume reduction). After she dried my hair and did a bit of styling I saw the results and was *thrilled*. The red looked good and is cool and stylish, and work-appropriate. I also asked for a brow, lip and chin wax job; Sarah was awesome- one wax strip for each area and no plucking with perfect results. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town. If you like spending more $$$$ than what is appropriate on a standard issue hair appointment then this is the place for you! I'm talking about touch-ups and a trim for upwards of $200. Not worth the money for the work being done. You really pay for the "location" with this place. So if you have money to burn on a nice haircut then go here. I dropped in and was able to get a haircut right away during a slow time. Nice salon and the stylist I saw gave me a great (although basic) cut and lots of styling tips. She also sold me some ridiculously priced hair products, but I was in a good mood and decided to splurge. We'll see how that goes. read more

I have gone to Fringes for several years and am generally satisfied. However, I had an appointment ( had the handwritten reminder card) and drove into omaha from the far west side of Elkhorn. Got there and the girl at the counter checked their computer and said my appointment didn't show up! Apparently the lady who took my payment & tip the time before just took my money, wrote out the next time appointment reminder card, but didn't enter it into the computer. I understand mistakes happen, but the chick at the counter just said, 'well, we'll just have to reschedule you for a week and a half from now!' No apologies, no trying to see if ' J ' could squeeze me in or if there was another stylist available -- nothing!! There are A LOT of salons in omaha not sure I'll go back to fringes!!! read more
