Got my hair cut twice here, first time thought it was a fluke, didn't explain what I wanted. Went back to complain to the manager, got told it will grow back. After a conversation, in which I was in tears, she said I could get my money back. Also was told not to ask for the same stylist, as if that helps my prison hair.

It's pretty casual. Start time was prompt. Stations are nice and clean. I got the cut and colour I asked for. Excellent job. I watched both ladies and gents cuts come and go. The shop is quite busy. The prices are terrific. I'll definitely return to Lauren.

I started going to see Colinne when my purple hair needed a refresher. I've found that if you want…read morereally stellar, bright, mermaid/unicorn hair, it's hard to pin down someone (or even a salon) who can do a great job. Mantra is that place. It doesn't matter what colour you want, they can do it, and your hair will be left un-fried, too. I went straight from purple to teal, and while the process was long and gruelling, my hair was totally fine at the end of it. Colinne knows what she's doing. Her staff are all lovely, the salon is bright and a totally friendly place to be. New places and new people are not my favourite things, having social anxiety, but I feel fine here. It's an Aveda salon, so you know he products and colours are top notch, and their environmental certification is off the charts. I think they even recycle hair clippings! I don't have to drive all the way to Fort Saskatchewan to get my hair done, but when you find quality, you travel to get it.
