We arrived early for check-in, and the friendly staff was able to give us our room. Rooms were more spacious than I expected and came with all necessary basic amenities (except for an ironing board, but the front desk was able to provide). We had an event in Salzburg, but the hotel is located on the outskirts and it was a 20 minute ride to our event. In the morning, I was able to take a stroll and the property and next door were gorgeous. Unfortunately, I woke up too late to enjoy the breakfast. Boo! Happy with our brief stay.

On new year's day…read moreevening, after spending a short time trying to get into one of our friends' local favorites and failing: three misses (no non-smoking area, closed, too busy), we decided to give the Hubertushof a go. My friends have thought all along that because it's a hotel - it might be more fancy or expensive than is desirable for locals... but it was neither. The atmosphere is classic Austrian 'at home' comfortable. The décor is in the traditional styling, but new and very clean. The dining room is fairly large. There is a complimentary coat check from a very nice hostess. The menu was robust with classic Austrian fare. The service was very good and wifi was free. Prices pretty reasonable, and with exception to our friend's meal not being exactly what she anticipated, the food was very good and the portions plentiful. Extensive wine list. Unfortunately there is not a lot available for the vegetarians, sorry. Service was quick and we felt at home: not pushed or rushed in any way, which is nice.
