I'm not a fan of pre made sandwiches but took a chance on the bacon, egg and spinach Turkish with relish. Relish was optional which meant it was applied fresh and toasting helps any staleness, if there was any to hide. It tasted great and was a good lunch time portion. The egg wasn't at all rubbery or over cooked on the yolk. My mum enjoyed her Thai green curry with rice and we shared a white choc and raspberry muffin. Had a quick look around before leaving. Lots of gourmet pantry items eg sauces, pickles and rubs. Unfortunately no toilets which meant a walk across the road to the rest stop/park ones. Firstly, let's start with drinks...I ordered a Stone and Wood, a few minutes later the waitress comes out and says we're sold out. Luckily enough they had plenty of Corona (the beer). Next comes our mains. I've been looking forward to this amazing Rib Eye steak, the waitress comes back to tell me it's sold out. So I settled for the T-bone and I was absolutely disgusted. It was tough and overcooked, and the chips were drenched with salt. I forgot to mention it took one and a half hours to get our meals. It seemed like a ploy for us to have more alcohol. Then comes our dessert. The waitress told us about this amazing SPECIAL that you have available. So I thought I'd treat myself to save the meal. It just wasn't my night...the SPECIAL had sold out. I don't know if the kitchen was taking the piss out of me or it was poor inventory management but I was not impressed. And the best the team had to offer me to make up for such a poor experience was to tell me that I should order in advance the next time. This had really dappened my thoughts on your restaurant and I won't be recommending to anyone else anytime soon.
