The Frick Art Reference Library is a research institution and is connected to the Frick Collection. The Library is housed in a six-story building designed by the architect John Russell Pope.
If you visit the Frick Collection my recommendation would be for you to coordinate your visit with the library hours. You will not want to miss seeing the library in all its grandeur!
The Frick Art Reference Library is open to adults 18 or older. Those of us with an interest in art, including scholars, art professionals, students, and collectors often visit. The library serves the research community through its membership in the New York Art Resources Consortium (NYARC), which also includes the libraries of other well known museums.
The Library established the Center for the History of Collecting in 2007. The Center supports the study of the formation of collections of fine and decorative arts, both public and private collections.
The legacy of Mr. Frick and the Frick Family is a monumental benefit to the residents of NYC and people from all over the world. Words can't describe the atmosphere. You will need to visit. The no photography rule is strictly enforced. read more
