Dear Sonesta Management,…read more I am writing to sincerely thank Erica, the manager who facilitated our recent overnight stay. My family and I traveled from Reno, Nevada, to watch our son compete in the High School State Finals in Fowler. After a long six-hour drive, we arrived earlier than expected. I contacted the front desk to ask about an early check-in, and Erica went above and beyond. Not only did she have a room ready immediately, but she also arranged for our family to stay in a spacious two-bedroom suite. Having served as a police officer in the Fresno area for 28 years, I remember this location well from its days as a Residence Inn. I was very impressed by the transformation. The hotel offered a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, exactly what we needed after our travels. Most importantly, the room was spotless. Erica's professionalism and hospitality ensured our family had a safe, clean, and comfortable environment during a very important weekend for our son. This will definitely be our go-to place whenever we return to Fresno to visit family. Please pass along our thanks to Erica for her outstanding work. Best regards, Curtis Davis
In August 2026, I had a blow out dinner party for some of my cousins. So I booked through…read moreBookings.com, no problem, but I needed to put my card down for incidentals. The hotel sent me an electronic copy which I could write in which I couldn't. This curated event included: hotel accommodations , 5 star dinning experience, black car service from all the planned events, and a concert. So I go down before the near 110 degree weather hits. I call them ask them if they could bring the form to fill while I wait in the parking lot - did i mention I have a mobility issue and walking over asphalt as the temperature raises could cause a case of heat stroke. After 4 phones calls (over 30 minutes), I was told they would get to me, okay fair enough. After 20 minutes of waiting in the escalating heat I had no choice but to drive off. Fast forward, I sent in my personal assistance who was told by the desk person they only do that electronically. Obviously, the front desk staff needs training on ADA accommodation, the actual policy and procedure, AND how not to lie. Had they directed me correctly when I showed up I would not have wasted $40 in labor cost sending someone down to pick up a form. Since it was so close to the event, I had no choice but to house my guests (a total 6-7) there and have each put down their own credit card. To say I am pissed is an understatement - I am known for having memorable seamless curated events. My guests had a good experience, wish I could say the same. For future reference, positive truthful communication is the best...because these 7 guests are just the first of over 150 guests I will be hosting over the next year. 4 stars for my guest experience, and a 1 star for my hostess experience (I really hate people wasting my time).

There was some complications with my booking and my insurance booked the wrong Courtyard and she stayed on the phone with my insurance for a really long time to get everything settled. The rooms are really clean, quiet, and new. I used the gym, pool, washroom, and I went to the restaurant once. I have zero complaints. Everyone was so nice and I actually miss this place! Wish my home insurance covered more days. Oh and the TV includes so many streaming services like HBO. It was great. P.S. i've saw a review where someone mentioned that it was dirty, it actually made my jaw drop because it's probably one of the cleanest hotels I've been to and I've traveled all over. I wonder if their review was for the other Courtyard hotel because this hotel is brand new and the addresses and names are so similar. I don't think there are a ton of nice hotels in Fresno and this definitely is probably the nicest and in the safest area. Ample parking too.

This was not a minor housekeeping issue--it was a serious health and safety concern. No guest should be expected to stay in conditions like these, especially at a hotel carrying the Marriott name. We were disgusted, deeply uncomfortable, and completely disappointed. Management and Marriott corporate need to investigate this property immediately. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend staying here.

The stay here at the Fir Ave location was disappointing as we had just returned from a service celebrating the life of my late father and I wanted to go back to the room to change. I had my CDL with the same last name and address on the reservation, also gave them the room number, yet they still would not give me a key. This is not the first time we have forgotten or lost a key and I, by myself, have went to the desk, showed my CLD with same last name and address and have been given a key at EVER OTHER Hilton I have ever stayed at WITH NO ISSUES. So my son who was with my Mom, who just buried her husband, had to drive over to give me a key. This made an already difficult day even more so. Therefore I don't recommend staying at this Hotel. Ps... the girl behind the counter had zero compassion for my situation that she was well aware of, rude! Just super disappointed, as we have never had an issue in all the Hiltons we have ever stayed at.
