First time checking out the South Pearl Street Farmers Market and it definitely won't be my last!…read more This market has a great mix of local vendors, fresh produce, ready-to-eat food, and artisan goods. It's open every Sunday from 9AM to 1PM, and while it gets a bit crowded, the energy is great and it's absolutely worth showing up early. I came with the intention of buying produce... and somehow left with a haul of food, drinks, and snacks instead (oops). But honestly? No regrets. Here's what I picked up: R&R's Texas Tacos & BBQ - Grabbed the Norteño Taco, Guadalupe Taco, and a Bean & Cheese Taco. All three were flavorful and filling--definitely recommend starting your market stroll here. Draft Signature Drinks - Their iced vanilla latte with oat milk hit the spot on a warm morning. Smooth and perfectly balanced. ‍ Pat & Bear - A 6-pack of macarons in flavors like churro, pistachio honey, and lemon blueberry. Delicate, delicious, and beautifully made. Cultura Chocolate - Picked up their drinking Mexican chocolate, champurrado, and agua de horchata. Everything tasted rich and authentic--perfect for gifts or treating yourself. Reunion Bread Co. - Pastel de nata, almond cake, and a ham & cheese focaccia. Every bite was a winner, but that pastel de nata was a standout. Whether you're there for produce (maybe next time!) or just to explore and graze, the South Pearl Street Farmers Market is a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Friendly vendors, amazing variety, and a strong local vibe.

Not sure if I found the correct farmers market - I heard this one would be the biggest in Denver…read more We landed at the Cherry Creek fresh market, which I thought was the same, but maybe it wasn't ? This one was in the parking lot closest to Macy's. It wasn't too big, but they had a nice variety of vendors, with food, crafts, plants, and artisan goods. That had a live band playing some chill tunes too which was nice. Absolutely loved the fresh baked bagel spot called Springs, they had this scallion olive oil cream cheese that was delish, and had their toaster on site to prep everything right there. Shame they don't have a brick and mortar location - they said they pop up at a lot of these markets on weekends and do catering (wonder what they do in the winter?) Also was tempted to get some permanent jewelry, there was at least 3-4 vendors offering these. Maybe next time! Had such a nice time here but it's very hot and the only shade are a few tables with umbrellas for eating that were mostly taken. Stay hydrated!

Sure it's located in a shopping mall parking lot and sure it is somewhat limited in it's selection but there are some good vendors there. Loved the Tamale lady, good produce, great pastry vendor too. I wouldn't drive out of my way to visit but if you happen to be in the neighborhood check it out.

I never knew Hubs like Tamales, until he confessed! So when we were at the Calvary Temple Farmers…read moreMarket that faithful Saturday July 13th 2013, when we saw the vendor which sells Colombian Tamales, Hubs was "giggling" like a kid with joy! We had the food samples, which are piping hot from the flat-top portable stove. The lovely couple who handle this stall, were indeed inviting and friendly. If I am not mistaken the lady who handle this stall, her name is Judy Gilchrist. I told her, we will come back once we are done at the rest of the vendors to purchase Tamales which Hubs was interested in. Since we need to be going somewhere else that afternoon, we opt to have the Frozen Tamales instead. We opt to purchase : * 3 Beans Tamales ($5) each hence it was $15 * 3 Chicken Tamales ($6) each hence it was $18 Total damage just for Frozen Tamales were $33. With that purchase Judy offered us a free chipotle sauce, that she also made from scratch. It was not as spicy as we want it to be. When we came back home Hubs had those Frozen Tamales for Dinner that last us for 2 weeks consumption. Hubs said the Tamales are good, huge portions, though he wish it could be cheaper than he used to back in Cali. With our purchase of Tamales it comes with Instructions too. Tamale Reheating Instructions : * Microwave Defrosted Tamale Take foil off, wrap it with a wet paper towel or wax paper, leave it in the microwave for 8 to 10 minutes. * Stove Top For Frozen Tamale Leave foil on, cover tamale about 3 inches of water, boil for 25 to 30 minutes on Medium heat. * Stove Top For Defrosted Tamale Leave foil on, cover tamale about 2 inches of water, boil for 10 - 15 minutes heat The beans tamales, comes with black beans, green beans and other spices. While the Chicken Tamales comes with beans, corns and huge chunks of chicken cuts and spices. All in all Hubs like these Colombian Tamales and he does not mind returning to Judy G's to purchase them. Not only Judy sells Colombian tamales and chipotle sauce, she also sells chimichurri and pupusas at her stall. @164/2013
