New to our HOA community, they were here March 6th and delivered the lowest quality pine straw I…read morehave ever seen in this community; they delivered B-Grade Pine Straw to us! "B-grade pine straw can be any pine straw that has not been thoroughly cleaned. It might contain other leaves, sticks, pine cones, and other materials." And the pine straw here is LOADED with sticks, pine cones, and chunks of tree. The day help they hired didn't put enough pine straw down, it has been patchy and bare since application, they didn't pick any of the large visible debris out, they did NOT blow the pine straw completely & clearly into the landscaping areas, it's flowing INTO the lawns and now, weeks later, there is no separation between lawn and pinestraw and there's grass and weeds growing IN the pine straw. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE!!! Employees do not edge the area between pine straw and lawn as every single landscaper before them has done. How much time and money will now be spent reestablishing the separation between landscaping and lawn??!!!!! - They park their vehicle & trailer on a street across from driveways making it difficult for residents to come and go. Every single landscaper before them parked in areas of the community where there aren't driveways (Oliver). Absolutely thoughtless! - They are in and out of our community in record speed. - They miss very visible patches of grass when they mow. - They leave clumps of dead grass in the lawns which suffocates and kills area of lawn. - NO WEED CONTROL, there are weeds growing IN the street, IN the sidewalks, IN the driveways! Come on!!!! - They do a terrible job edging. - They do a half-a** job blowing. When you weed eat and blow all sorts of debris onto siding and fencing... blow it off! The quality of job done here in this community is simply unacceptable!

Plant maintenance, pine straw, and grass growth have all been successful, additionally, they were mindful how long they stuck around(I have a dog that barks and babies that nap), rare I see a company who doesn't seem to dilly dally. The quality of the work once they left was above par, value for my buck for sure!! One of the times they arrived my kids wanted to sit out and watch them work(toddlers and lawn mowers am I right?) and they worked a little slower so my kids could watch and interact. They waved and showed them what they were doing, a landscaping quality I didn't even know I needed. Mitchell Landscaping is a family business that not only cares about the work they are doing but are good at it. I have seen homes AND businesses maintained by this company and all the above look spectacular, I highly recommend giving them a call.

Trees Are Us did some significant tree trimming at our Burlington house. Being relatively new to…read moreBurlington, we did research on which company to approach with the job. Having had seven trees removed from our previous Durham property, I would like to say that I have at least a bit of experience working with tree removal/trimming companies in central NC. We selected Trees Are Us. The estimate process was easy-peasy. The pricing was very good. There were challenges of not killing a property line fence and access to one tree that needed serious work. Ronnie (Crew Chief), his deputy Miguel, and the rest of the crew arrived in a timely fashion on the cited date, with company notification via phone when they were enroute. Ronnie is super responsible, technically knowledgeable and his crew was very hard working. Ronnie and Miguel demonstrated that TAU has people with high level skill sets. The work done was superb. Nothing damaged and the post job cleanup was (no exaggeration) better than any of the Durham work done by other companies. Trees Are Us management: Ronnie is an excellent face of your company; a true ambassador of your brand. I also want to thank your scheduler, Wren, who - at her initiative - rescheduled us when a storm resulted in such wet ground that the TAU truck would have damaged our nice backyard lawn. That type of customer care is not often seen in today's businesses. Trees Are Us will get all my future work. In fact, I will call your office next week to inquire about the division of your business that plants trees as we might need a Japanese maple in front of our house.
