We were first disappointed they were closed on our Twosday anniversary 2-22-22 while visiting Park Rapids during our four day celebration, but Laura worked hard to open the store on a Wednesday after a snowstorm. Their collections of unique gifts is impressive and we purchased so many gifts, many unique to Park Rapids. Our last day in Parks Rapids was made so much better thanks to the gift suggestions made by Laura. This has to be the best gift shop in Park Rapids.

I didn't look at clothing or shoes, but checkout the housewares and non clothing items. They had a couple aisles of home décor/kitchen items/books, and a couple aisles of games/pictures/craft items. The best part was the prices! I got a couple candlesticks - someone painted red over brass candlesticks (I'll be removing that) - for $1 each! I also picked up a couple 2021 cooking magazines for .25 each. Note: I also discovered that Bearly Used Thrift Store is one of the 3 retail stores in town that the The Hubbard County DAC owns and operates. WhatNot would not let me submit another refund request on items I received as garbage. Plus I requested another refund on another item never received when it was time they would let me submit the request. Whatnot denied all my request and made like I was a risk or something. I only asked for refunds after I waited for 1 month. Whatnot does not protect the buyer especially with evidence of the product never showing shipped to my door.

I went back to have the one pair of glasses adjusted ... no adjustment to be made so the are redoing the lens for the right eye. The only unfortunate thing is we had to leave Park Rapids and they will have to send the new ones to me..... in the meantime I got a very stylish pair of Rx sunglasses and they are perfect!! I get the sanitization, but the baskets under the top two are not being cleaned and can you wipe them off please? Made it almost all of the way through the store and could not find something I needed, not a single employee had asked me if I needed help though they walked by, in front of and behind me doin what they were doing. Finally flagged someone down who was cruising by me, asked for something and she took me right to it and was very friendly. I checked out and left, underwhelmed but not overly discouraged. being so small I would have expected them to do more to ensure the customer experience was better due to the competition they have in town - I would not let that experience deter me from returning though....
