I wish I knew some Thai to return the favor. Osaka III is smack dab on a very touristy street near city hall and we wanted anything but tapas on our last night in Valencia. This place is known more for their buffet (€12.95 for lunch and €15.95 for dinner) but we just needed something light in our bellies before bed. A small salad of cucumbers and seaweed, two miso soups, Vietnamese style egg rolls and shrimp fried rice fit the bill. We found it to be a bit pricey, but I'm not complaining much since this place is steps away from our hotel and when in Spain, I'll take whatever Asian food I can get. We appreciated the fast service since great service in Valencia seems to be a rarity.

What I got were two stale tostadas with dry chicken, cheese, and straight-up mustard. When I politely said I didn't order mustard, the staff insisted it was chimichurri. I'm Latina. I know what chimichurri is. This wasn't even close. The food was overpriced (€13-14 for two tiny tacos), flavorless, and poorly executed. The most insulting part wasn't the bad food -- it was the way they doubled down as if I wouldn't notice or didn't know better. While we were eating, multiple people came to our table asking for money, which the staff made no effort to discourage. The whole experience felt like a tourist trap banking on visitors not knowing authentic food or local dining etiquette. Valencia is full of incredible restaurants with fresh, authentic dishes and genuine service. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. If you value your money and respect, walk a few streets away and eat where the locals do.
