Main features include Canoeing and Kayaking, a very cool fountain, games, a pavilion, picnic tables, an amazing playground, a snack bar, a stage, trails and, of course, water. The park is relatively small at 4 acres, but they really have laid it out beautifully and they have quite a bit here. Promenade Park is a KultureCity.org Sensory InclusiveTM Certified Venue. Accessibility features include accessibility to the trails, kayak/canoe launch, main entrance, picnic areas, playground (ground level play features), an accessible restroom, accessible signage, accessible swings, accessible water fountains/bottle fillers, and more. Accessible parking is available along Wells Street (adjacent to the pavilion). The garden area is designed specifically to provide visual and sensory separation. There's tactile ribbon embedded in the pavement throughout the park (this helps people who are blind/low-vision). Pathways are extra wide and can accommodate multiple wheelchairs. Honestly, I was blown away here and so thrilled I took the time to stop and check this out. I'm likely planning an event in Fort Wayne soon, and there's no question I'll be returning to this beautiful urban park.

Unfortunately dogs are NOT allowed because they want to preserve the nature and wildlife. Plenty of parking spots. Trails are clear and easy to walk along. This is more of a walk than a hike. Trails can get muddy so recommend wearing boots. If you get muddy, there's a boot brush out in front where you can scrub your shoes. Don't forget to pack it in and pack it out! Even with all those negative things Lindenwood still looked pretty and I enjoyed the hike. I was very Underwhelmed by the pond. I expected the pond to be much prettier, bigger and nicer looking but unfortunately it was tiny and very dirty. At least there were visible tadpoles there which was exciting to see. I cannot wait to return to this place again once everything is fully regrown.

Very cool sight. There were a lot of great trails including a mile long one around the buffalo area, as well as a fully paved bike trail that goes through the woods. It was a lovely ride. The bathrooms left something to be desired as usually 2/3 toilets were clogged and the hardware in general could use some renovation. There are private showers in the back restrooms which were a nice change but having to continuously hit the water button (and it pauses every time you hit it) was a different, not so pleasant experience. Overall, this was a decent campground, fairly busy. A lot of the large buildings were closed or intended for renting out. There was no nature center. There is a lake which offer paddle and other boats for rent. There is also parking for horse & buggies away from the RV sites. Outside of the horse & buggy and a summer camp area, we never found the primitive camp sites but we didn't exactly go looking for them either.

The playground is a LOT of fun for all ages of kids. The base is a padded grass carpet. No mud and gentle falls. Lots of variety in equipment to entertain a diverse group of kids. There is a limited amount of swings but diverse to accommodate babies to larger handicapped kids. There are lots of picnic and resting areas. Many of the seating areas have sun shades. There is a nice pond view. I'm not certain. If the pavilion has to be reserved- it looks like first come first serve. But it's large with restrooms. Give this park a try if you are looking for a short or longer term outdoor diversion.

There is plenty of parking at different points around the park, however I chose to park by the tennis courts at the trail head. During my walk, I noticed lots of other folks walking, running, and cycling too. Everyone was pretty friendly offering a quick hello. There are signs that remind those enjoying the trails to stay off the golf course. I can't really comment on the golf course itself as I don't golf, however the folks that were golfing seemed to enjoy themselves. My dog's favorite part of the park had to be all the grass. She kept stopping to roll around in it. She was having a ball! My favorite part of Foster Park was how beautiful it is. There are lots of trees and plants. During my recent visit, the tulips had bloomed and were really quite lovely. I noticed a family taking photos here with a professional photographer, so this park might also be a nice backdrop for your next set of portraits.

Honestly, this course should be closed! I have never seen a course in such horrible condition and they should be ashamed of themselves for taking peoples money! The greens were dying and obviously had a disease or something. By being open everyone could potentially be spreading the disease to other courses. The city's leaders are not doing their jobs!
