Note that most of the pool areas…read moreare not that suitable for lap swimming, because the main pool has a rope across the middle between the shallow and deep sections, and the outdoor pool is mostly for families, and therefore gets a little too crowded. However, it is definitely nice for swimming a few strokes and just relaxing! The best part, of course, is the sauna and steam room complex, with every temperature and combination of wet and dry sauna that you could imagine and want! A note for people traveling from abroad that this is a European style sauna, so it is coed and nude, but people are very respectful, and it was a very nice environment to relax either by yourself or with friends. A particular highlight was the outdoor sauna space and Terrace, which allows you to take in views of the city from an area of relative privacy. The pricing was very reasonable, and I would gladly come again!

This is one of the more unusual public pools in the area. It is reminiscent of some newer penguin or polar bear enclosures in certain zoos. Somehow real zany in a nice kind of way! For the courageous there is 10m diving platform and lawn for sunbathing for the lazy. At the end of the day, chips (without fish!) are sold for half price. It is open from 8am to 7pm.

Ridiculously expensive indoor swimming pool/wave pool. You know, we had wave pools in the States…read moreback in the 70's. It's not as if it's THAT big an atttraction. Anyway, they have a regular pool, a wave pool with beach-style shallow end, various saunas, and two, relatively decent slides. It's a decent sort of place but I just find the prices hard to justify and I give them poor marks for the extraordinary rudeness of employees. If I'm going to have an 18 year old school dropout run their mouth to me, I'm certainly not going to pay 50 Euros for the experience. I've since found much cheaper indoor pools for the kids and they don't really miss the waves.

Public transport connection is good and plenty of free parking too.

And some observations as follows, - I'm not sure why this place has three €s. I think our group paid 5€ for a evening's worth of swimming. That's, pretty cheap for two slides, indoor/outdoor, dives and a hot pool. - Also they had a whole little bar. That's adorable, and I love places where you can swim and drink. That's a winning combination. - Pretty clean. I only saw one band-aid, and it wasn't floating in the pool. - Why don't they make water-slides for hot tubs? - The staff were friendly and helpful with our questions and general lack of German language skills. - Clean bathrooms. Clean changing rooms, and large blow-dryers in case you didn't bring a towel. - Pretty simple. Pay, swim, leave. - A place to camp and lay out in a well-kept grassy knoll. People had brought coolers, and there was a place for Frisbee and outdoor sports. Overall great. I'm certain I will be coming back.
