I read the unnecessary roadside assistance agreement he wanted me to sign without telling me it was not required or needed. I refused to sign the document. I got home after the shady time with Evan to find he charged my account for $99 so he could get his commission for the sale. I flagged it for fraud from my bank and am currently letting people know about the fraud at Vern Fonk in Yakima on 1st street.

Even after jumping through all the hoops and providing tons of unnecessary paper work she still wouldn't cancel my policy. State farm finally stepped in and cancelled it after four months. Trying to get them to back date the cancelation to my original request date turned into a finger pointing nightmare between her, her underwriters, and state farm.

I originally switched to Farmers long ago when my uncle operated a Farmers branch in Yakima and I…read moretrusted him. Recently Michael Moore took over and I remained with Farmers for several more years. I had been a loyal paying customer to Farmers for nearly ten years. I had automatic withdrawal set up and always paid on time. I had been using Farmers for to cover two houses and two cars. After a little research I realized I could cut my car insurance in half by changing to USAA. I then switched my car insurance away from Farmers but continued their coverage for my houses. When we switched away Farmers claimed we had an outstanding balance. This is where my grief comes into play. Farmers claims the automatic withdraw ended immediately when we dropped the car coverage (even though they were still doing auto withdraw for housing coverage). So unbeknownst to us this bill went unpaid for a month or two and then we received a collections notice. After reviewing our many emails received from Farmers I did find one that states we do need to pay for that outstanding amount. However, in that same time frame we had received many emails that only contained information to "go green" and sign up for paperless documentation, so the most important information concerning me was buried between all the other Farmers email junk. My problem is that after gladly taking almost ten years worth of payments from me Farmers had the audacity to give me a phone call before sending me to collections, even though they are still automatically accessing my bank for another account. Prior to this I had a credit score of just over 800 and my wife over 790. Needless to say I moved all my accounts over to USAA. I am purely disgusted at how my family was treated by the Michael Moore's branch of Farmers. After being a loyal paying customer (with a great history of always paying on time) of almost ten years I end up receiving a giant stain on my credit. This entire situation could have been avoided with a simple phone call. I am no lawyer but I do not feel Farmers did enough to warn me of said bill prior to sending my family to collections, and even if they legally did perform due diligence, they most certainly did not perform any customer service. Thanks Farmers for staining my other wise great credit report.

I'm thinking they do it that way so they can bill insurance for two visits.
