This has been the worst experience of my life! I have been driving in LA !!! Since 10/7 with no instruction! They don't answer the phone and I was actually told to drive there (no insurance) to fix the fact that they messed up my autopay. Here I thought I had insurance! I got no notification or anything communication. The first girl Melissa was nice enough but didn't know anything and just wanted to buy my car since she knew that I was going to buy a new one. I had an incident with a brand new car )brakes didn't work) and was deciding whether I should use insurance. That's when I found out that I had no insurance. I had already asked the head guy that I didn't want to deal with her anymore. I called all day today and got no response. Can't believe that I was driving with no insurance! Do NOT use this agent!!! I am thankful I was checking on my insurance; otherwise I wouldn't know I had no insurance. I I finally ended up after 7 phone calls and found another Freeway agent. I will follow up this review when I know how his service is. So hard because I know zero about insurance. So far, can't find places in Harbor Gateway. When my initial policy was totally wrong, the 800 number gave me someone in Andrea, CA and she took care of my policy immediately. Today, after finding out I had no insurance, I happened to get a CA person on the 800 number who said he would fix the autopsy and at a discount rate because of the not so intelligent folks by Walmart, Harbor Gateway. I am finding out that Yelp may not be the best way to go and that the people who work at the establishment might be the ones giving the reviews. Had a super misleading ratings with dentists! People may not be picky but I am extremely disappointed with this Freeway Insurance. How they have 3sraes is nuts! read more

Scam. Shoulda known you get what you pay for! My policy changed from 12mos to 6mos without notice. My policy number also changed without notice. They increased my monthly premium from $120 to $200. No way I'm paying $200 for cheap insurance. Let me also add they charged me a different amount every month the first 6mos of my initial policy. It would vary from $120, to $136, to $144. Freeway's mail regarding autopay schedule would have $136 but Infinity's mail would show a lower amount. I would question Freeway and they always tell me they're not sure. Infinity would tell me to contact my agency. Wtf? Still no refund! I called to cancel my policy and have my autopay removed as I received a cheaper quote with higher coverage from AAA. Spoke to both Infinity Kemper AND Freeway 8 times within the last 2 weeks and they still have me on autopay. After every phone call, I'd check online to double check and my account still shows autopay set up. Finally spoke to someone who was understanding of my situation and sent an email requesting cancellation per their instructions. Nope. Got another mail from Infinity AND Freeway regarding my renewal policy and Automatic Withdrawal Schedule. This mail was dated 8/23, which is after I sent in that email on 8/22. I just called them back now and all these agents you speak to don't know what they're doing. One of them even confirmed my autopay was removed before I even gave my information to him like what? Their customer service is terrible and very rude. You have a general question? Good luck getting connected to someone who knows their crap. Thank god I didn't get into any accident while insured with them because my god it's hell dealing with them. This company is a joke and I'm happy to be switching! Do yourself a favor and get a reliable insurance policy from a reputable company. You can tell the difference in their system and customer service right off the bat. Here's my honest opinion about going through a broker as a first time customer. I've been driving since age 16. This last year, I was insured by 21st Century. Prior to that I was with Geico for 4 years, prior to that I was with AIG for 10 years. My husband had a DUI almost a decade ago and when I decided to add him to my insurance, the price sky rocketed. I was initially paying $100 a month and 21st Century told me that it would now be $298 a month. Therefore, we were on the hunt for new car insurance. (These prices are for 3 adults on one policy with only one main driver). Geico quoted us $351 a month and other big companies quoted us $175-200. With this being said, I was only calling companies that we see on tv, which are basically the household names of auto insurance. I decided to yelp auto insurance and came across Freeway. The location at Hawthorne had the best reviews so I made an appointment with them. First, i got a quote over the phone which was about $130 a month. Unfortunately, this location was a bit too far from my home so I asked Gustavo to switch my info to a closer location. He led me to Freeway on 190th St behind the Walmart. When we walked into the office, we were very, very skeptical because the aesthetics of the office wasn't as professional and clean as other places that we've bought from (like Geico, AIG, StateFarm). This was a Friday afternoon, end of day around 6pm. Juan checked us in and helped us with our vital information and quotes. After 45 minutes, we were able to get our quote at $111 a month with Stonewood Insurance. Immediately, I googled Stonewood and looked at their BBB scores. I googled their reviews and rates. Everything I saw was bad. Negative scores, bad reviews, bad ratings. So I was so extremely nervous to even purchase this auto insurance. I questioned Juan about the reviews and ratings. His honest answer, eased my skepticism. So we decided to purchase their insurance and pay the Freeway broker's fee. Juan threw in an additional package for hospital indemnity for $49. I felt like the broker's fee was extremely high because as I was signing the contract it said $351. Total cost for this broker's fee was $550. He did mention the $49 was something he was adding in for free, so why did we end up paying for it? This was a bit expensive, like honestly, out of our budget. But we paid it in full, got some extra perks and now have the cheapest car insurance for 3 people. It will definitely go down a bit more when my husband changes his out-of-state drivers license to a California license. *****when signing the contract, more explanation is due because he was just whipping through the paperwork so fast, i had no time to read all of it, and it's a lot of papers. it felt like a rushed process. *****This process took about 1.5 hours, which is way to long. We were not fond of the time it took to get a quote. Normally, with big companies you can get a quote within 5 minutes or less. *****While waiting after an hour, the manager offered water and chatted with my husband a bit, which is nice, to pass time and because it makes the experience much more PERSONABLE *****Suggestion: the manager should always explain to customers what Freeway is and how it works because the reviews are low, and the companies used like Stonewood have low reviews. To kill the skepticism, explaining the differences between (for example Geico and Stonewood) would probably bring in more clientele. I would highly suggest a 30 SECOND ELEVATOR PITCH would help this process. The very next morning, I called Stonewood Insurance on our policy to verify all the correct information, policy number, and I had the Stonewood agent go over everything again. I explained to him that I was skeptical using Freeway and Stonewood. I wanted reassurance, I wanted to know that our money was going to a real policy and that we weren't being SCAMMED. I also asked about why the reviews on both companies are so low and that's including the Better Business Bureau. When you google freeway insurance and stonewood websites, both look phony. They need to upgrade their websites and add apps. Its 2017, both companies need to move forward with technological times. ****I will say, Juan did state that I should only go through him and I shouldn't call Stonewood but I don't trust auto agents 100% let alone brokers who charge $550. So I had to call on my terms for piece of mind and reassurance I guess, the ultimate testament would be ... in the event of an accident we will find out how good Stonewood policy is and how good of service our agent and Stonewood will provide for our family. *We travel a lot, so should anything happen, I'd like to see how this hospital indemnity policy works. I was going to add on Renter's insurance but the company Lemonade offers renter's insurance for $6.00 a month at $15K policy. I think their rates are the best in the market. All in all, good service and great prices. *side note: Juan's off on Wednesday's. read more

Freeway Insurance deserves Negative stars. My Freeway Insurance broker falsified my application by inputting inaccurate information and refusing to make changes to my application to reflect my accurate driving record on the basis of "it won't make a difference to insurance". He misled me with an affordable premium that we both agreed upon, only to receive a billing statement with my premium nearly doubled. Among many things, I had to constantly "phone chase" my broker with several calls in a day; he would never call me back. This company is a fraud that scams their customers by reeling them in with an attractive deal only to significantly upcharge your premium, without legitimate cause or notice, after the fact you have already paid a large sum that is "non-refundable". Don't waste your time and money. Do your research online and you'll find countless poor reviews and consumer complaints. Pay a little more for a legitimate company. read more

the WORST customer service ever! the first visit there is obviously pleasant because they're taking money from you and are kissing your you know what, but any other visit after that is garbage. it took me about two and a half hours to make a simple payment there. to make a payment there they charge you an additional $10. i tried to change my method of payment and they wanted to charge me $25. all together an additional $35 just to make a payment to an already high monthly payment, this place was a joke. i can't wait till my one year with them is up so i could get the heck out of that place. i would never recommend it to anyone. if yelp gave a no stars option that's what this company would receive!! read more

Worst!!! I mean the WORST!!!! I came in feb23 to take one of my two cars off the policy wich is about to end march1. They convinced me to start a new policy for the one remaining vehicle so i did. Now im getting charged for two cars still from my old policy, and my new policy. I called to see what happened and they didnt faxed the paperworks correctly, so i have to come down and sign everything again and what makes it even worst, i get another 100taken out this month. Its been 2 months and im getting charge still .. After i was reassured i wouldnt anymore!!! Worst insurance ever. So really now im getting charged 3times the amount of 1vehicle a month.
