    I recently within this year added insurance to my car but me not knowing the ins & outs of everything I didn't just get played once but twice especially by agent Elizabeth Garcia. Not sure how I can make this post short without explaining everything. Before contacting Freeway Insurance (agent Elizabeth Garcia) via phone I just had left a building doing insurance with Bristol West and my down payment there was $296 and monthly rate was going to be $94.98. I thought that was pretty high but the guy there convinced me laws changed this year of 2025 for liability Insurance because that's all I was getting for my car since it's a 1997. Right when I left I contacted a family/friend who said no that was way too high for monthly liability. So I immediately went back not even 10 minutes later to cancel and he tells me that i cant. I was confused being that this just happened not even 20 minutes later just 10 minutes later. So i called the insurance myself to cancel and i was able to over the phone and was told I'll be reimbursed full amount of $296. I contacted FREEWAY insurance right after along with a few other insurance companies. I explained to Elizabeth what just had happened. She also reassured me that I should be getting my down payment back because I'm canceling the same day that I activated it. That it's not being in use because I did not want to pay for two down payments which ended up happening. So originally Elizabeth was trying to charge me $395 for down payment and I told her that was ridiculous. Especially when i just paid $296 that she swore up and down through her experience and knowledge its being cancelled same day than you get your refund. I explained to her that i just recently lost my job that I do not have all the money in the world to keep paying for down payment on insurance until I'm refunded that I did not feel comfortable going forward until I knew for sure. Elizabeth was very certain that I would get it back. Elizabeth knew she was on a recorded line. She knew I was recording our call she was well aware especially since these agents like to lie a lot. So fast forward I'm speaking to a manger finally not an agent but a manger at Bristol West who explains everything throughly. The state of California has a "broker fee collection" that could be negotiated though. By the way they don't tell you these things. They don't tell you you're paying them a bigger portion than what's actual being sent to insurance. 'Meaning that $296 that was a down payment only $86.06 went to insurance and agent collected $200 for his pockets since that's his broker fee but never once explained any of this so I was only going to get refunded $86.06. I contacted Elizabeth right away Tuesday January 21st sent a text message expressing how I was feeling and my concerns. No response. So like any one else I give it time make excuses maybe she's busy. Two days go by still no response so that Thursday January 23rd I sent her another text message still I'm being ignored. She was very responsive when trying to hurry up and get me on this insurance but disappeared on me when I started asking questions. No where to be found. I knew someone was going to call me to remind me of the second half of the down payment because i only paid half of it which was $195 and your suppose to pay the rest in two weeks. So when Elizabeth Garcia went MIA on me I decided I'll wait until someone contact me about the second half payment. When I finally received that call I had ask to speak to a manager and explained everything that was going on. The manager was well aware he was being recorded as well. The manger says he can do a one time pass where instead of me paying $100 if i paid $50 right then and there over the phone that the other $50 would be waived. His name is Francisco Sanchez. Here I am thinking it's all done with finally after dealing with this for several weeks almost felt like a month. Somehow freeway insurance still took $100 out of my account. At this point I have over paid now. When I called freeway insurance back and ask to speak with Francisco Sanchez he denied all of it and had to remind him he was being recorded. He did not care. When I kept asking to speak to someone higher up he keep stating it was only him. That there is no one else I can talk to. So who does he answer to? There's someone always above you. This insurance company is full of crap all around down to there agents and management. Definitely wouldn't recommend them.

    i have a policy for another company THROUGH freeway insurance. I called to add a vehicle to my policy and they claimed that they don't work with the company but that wouldn't be possible because I literally got that policy through them but anyways they were RUDE ash, so I decided to go in person like maybe they're busy I gave them the benefit of the doubt I know stuff is stressful over the phone sometimes in person communication is better but they are literally closed like how y'all open at 10AM and are already on a break at 11:45 and on the window it says they open at 9 BUT they don't how you have no work ethic AND rude like you not even working bro. Previously was helped by JOSUE who was AMAZING I asked if he was there to assist me instead and they said idk what I'm talkin ab

    Open sign was turned on and the hours says they are open til 7pm got here at 5:58 pm and doors were locked.. so much for driving all the way here for insurance. I even checked online beforehand to make sure they were open.

    This location sucks! The wait time is outrageous they need more people working!
