I am thoroughly disgusted and angry about the handling of my claim with Allstate and the agents at…read morethe Peper Agency. Last month I was rear-ended by someone driving a wreck, covered by "The General" and they were clearly at fault. I was assured by two different agents at the Peper Agency that I would not have to get involved in recovering any money for this accident, and that Allstate would go after the other insurance agency to recover my high deductible ($1000) that I paid to Fender Mender (as recommended by Allstate). I learn now that Allstate never contacted the other insurance company, and closed my claim, never attempting to recover my deductible. I just returned from the Allstate Insurance Peper Agency, and the best that they could tell me was, "sorry, why don't you call the 800 number and refile a claim as the other driver being uninsured. I don't want you to leave angry". Well, you can not prevent me from leaving angry, because Allstate did not follow through as they said they would and recover the money I am due. I will not be renewing my policy with Allstate or the Peper Agency.
