Unprofessionalism, disingenuous business practices, and disrespectful staff…read more Please be cautious when opening an insurance policy with this third-party affiliated and ensure that the sales agent is being transparent with all fees. Some employees in the Bolingbrook location are unprofessional and disrespectful towards customers. Lisseth Padrón did not disclose the service fee or the amount when providing my mother with her policy. My mother never acknowledged, signed, or agreed to pay a service fee. When my mother came in to make her final payment she was surprised to find out that she owed more than what the documents she was given stated. We calmly explained that we would have preferred that Lisseth Pardron would have been transparent from the beginning because it would have allowed us to make an informed decision. Instead of apologizing, Lisseth became argumentative and continuously rolled her eyes with annoyance. The branch manager Gabriela Gomez tried to make my mom sign the fee acknowledgment that same day stating "Well now you're going to sign it" I then responded and said no. We have already made a payment and this disclosure should have been presented from the first day we opened the policy. Gabriela Gómez grabbed the paper and ripped it in front of us and Spanish said "Well you're you're going to have to pay for it anyway" and turned her back on us with attitude. Gabriella Gomez continuously tried to explain what a service fee was as if we didn't understand a simple concept. The issue was not the fee let's make that clear. The issue is that they committed a huge oversight and were not transparent and instead of being apologetic about their mistake they decided to disrespect my mom and I. They also tried to get my mother to sign the service fee acknowledged months later and they were upset that we refused. Both Gabriela Gomez and sales agent Lisseth Padrón walked back to their desk and when I asked for their business cards, Lisseth chose to ignore me and not respond. This behavior was childish and disrespectful and I am surprised it is allowed. I will note that I did contact the corporate office in Des plains, Illinois. I spoke with a representative and I am waiting to hear back from the district manager Rosalinda Busto. I will also note that my mom ended up paying the full amount and at no point did she refuse to pay. However, It would have been appropriate for the branch manager to first apologize, and then waive the fee since it was never disclosed or agreed upon. A simple apology would have gone a long way. Instead, we were met with attitude and childish behavior.

It has been fairly good in my 3 years with them. It is Hispanic American owned and sometimes seems like they have the best quotes. However, as an authentic American consumer, I will be glad to find proper car insurance from another company soon.

This is the agent I speak of in my corporate review. Not a good guy to do business with. This is…read morefrom a few years back, but as bad as they were, I can not see them changing. Enjoy and stay away! As you may know...not my first run-in with All State....actually my 3rd in 3 years! Last term I received a bill (due upon receipt) for $15 for ???. Of course, I called my agent and asked...."what's that for? " He had no idea...so he said he'd check with corporate. About two weeks later he called back/emailed and said, "You dropped one of your vehicles (I'd sold it) and you lost your multi-car discount." I had wrongly assumed that dropping a vehicle would get me a refund. Opposite...I 'owed' so they sent me a bill...with no explanation! After chatting with my agent...I reluctantly paid ... the same day I received the info. New Term comes...I see my insurance has gone up substantially.....I also note a discount I'd previously received is not there. When I call to inquire my agent says it's because I 'paid a bill late' I remind him that I never pay late and always pay in full each term...a 'good payer' by all accounts. He tells me AS has taken my discount because I didn't pay the 'unexplained bill' on time. I call corporate and get a 'no' (never says yes....) man who ten seconds after I tell him my story and say I'd called my agent tells me my 'mistake' was not calling my agent. Seeing that he is NOT listening, I end my call with him immediately (hang up). I then post on FB using my #ALLSTATEFAIL tag and tell my story. I'm contacted back by 'Jesse' who leaves me a VM at 12:30p even though I clearly state I want a call back after 3 pm. We go through 4 VM tags with me leaving messages stating specifically, " All State needs to follow company regulations to ensure that all customers are treated equally". After this experience, I can only assume that means all All-State Customers are screwed over and All-State doesn't take any responsibility for anyone. I end my call and begin looking for a replacement...I'm even willing to pay MORE just to get away from All-State. A complete nightmare....a complete FAIL. #allstatefail#3 Fail #2 was this agent when I called in to ask about if I should submit a claim on a n=minor fender bender, actually wheel rim, that I knew I could fix for under $100 but thought I'd ask. He said, hmmm just a minute. He then put me on hold, and when the phone picks up its the claims department. I told them I was only inquiring, not actually submitting a claim. They said do what you feel is right. So I fixed it myself for about $70. The next term my rates skyrocketed! I asked why....the reason? That I submitted a claim. I told them no I inquired and decided not to. They said because my agent put me through to claims that it was automatic! UN FREKIN BELIEVABLE! I didn't even want to do anything but ask and because of this Lane agent, I got socked with a $75 increase on my rates and even Lexus Nexus couldn't remove the claim, even though they agreed with me that AS was totally screwing me. I left #ALLSTATEFAIL and have been much happier ever since. I hope my review makes you not consider them and that they lose another customer thanks to screwing me over. Word of mouth AS.....best advertising out there and it will destroy you.
