There were two very friendly gentlemen that helped us and pointed us to the right place. In my opinion, it should be a law that any home being scraped, should be required to salvage 60% or more of its interior, especially vintage homes. Places like this could become more common AND less landfill waste. Win-win!! Wear closed toed shoes. Everyone observed the Denver mask mandate and social distancing was easy. It is cool to pursue these shops and find the old remnants of the Victorian age and the west. I have lived here for 19 years, and this strip has changed. Recently, there have been tons of little great restaurants popping up (Maria Empanada, Adelito), very cool little bars ( Black Crown), Coffee shops (Corvus roasters) and also, well, lots of pot shops- can't say much about those. Also a bit of a sketch factor that is cleaning up, but still sketchy especially around Iowa St & Herman's Hideaway. Vintage and thrift shops abound along this strip as well- a great destination for your 1980's collecting is Fifty Two 80's A Totally Awesome Shop. For your costume needs, try Regal Vintage. I avoid Flossy McGrews, and it may even be gone. Terrifying store. But that's the fun of it! The ARC thrift store is actually amazing- a true charity, well run, cleaner, well organized with awesome finds!! My favorites are the Scandinavian Antique Shop and El Paso Imports. Happy Antiquing!

They do not take into consideration your experience/treatment in the establishment. I recently purchased three items in this store a few minutes before they were closing (a brand-new ottoman, metal vertical locker, and metal basket). The employee, seemed to be in a hurry, but still kindly offered to load the items in my car. I told him I was concerned about all of the items fitting in my car in one load and he insisted it would be fine. While I was moving items in my backseat to my trunk to make room, he loaded my car. I have attached photos showing how he loaded the items. The fabric underneath the Ottoman was torn and the legs were scratched up. In addition, the tint on my windows was damaged. I called the store the next day and explained the situation to Jan and Jan said that they guarantee the loading of items and that she would either refund me the money or order another brand-new ottoman, but I had to email the photos to the manager, Kim. Kimberly responded and was very rude and unprofessional. She stated that since I cannot prove that the damage was done by the employee loading my car, they weren't going to do anything. All of my photos were time stamped and taken in their parking lot. I could not go back inside the store to talk to them, because they were already closed. I am in honest and fair person and I am so disappointed in the service I received. If you buy anything here, do not let them load your car. Also, they have a final sale policy on everything, but they don't tell you that. It is printed on your receipt AFTER you've already purchased the items. Their rebuttal to my credit card company was simply that I signed the credit card receipt. Legally, that's all they had to do.

Apparently this type of item is too high price for this store and they would keep 50% no matter what so I was happy to leave. I'll never go back to that place. Some of my pieces have been a little more expensive but the quality is what I've paid for, knowing they aren't cheaply made. The staff is friendly and genuinely is invested in the place.
