From the beginning, she was compassionate, knowledgeable, and always willing to think outside the box to find treatments and exercises that would help me feel better and continue making progress. She took the time to listen, adjust my treatment based on how I was doing, and encouraged me every step of the way. Thanks to her care, I regained so much mobility and function in my shoulder and felt confident throughout the recovery process. I love the 1-on-1 time and not having to "share" as I had experienced in other places. The only chin scratcher for me didn't actually come from my PT Catrina, but from the owner who popped in (even though the door was closed--sometimes I need to lift my shirt to access certain spots on my back) with a student who was shadowing. I got no heads up, and I wasn't asked if it was ok that she observer my session. I would have happily said yes, but I was more concerned that I wasn't even asked. Unfortunately, my insurance changed, and I was no longer able to continue therapy with her, which genuinely made me sad because I felt I was in such good hands. I chose Settimi because they participate I the VA Choice program for Veterans, and they have good reviews. They were very thorough in my initial exam and also got me in quick for my first visit which was highly important. I noticed an immediate improvement, however slight, immediate, when I left. I suffer from two bulging discs in my back and they addressed all my concerns and even followed up that evening with a call to see how I was feeling. Dr. Settimi and Dr. Schultz are both professional and experienced in what they do. I will continue to go here.

I visited "Doctor" Settimi for some neck stiffness a little under a year ago and that…read moredecision has been one of the biggest regrets of my life...and is something I am still experiencing the affects of today. I had never been to a chiropractor, so I had no idea what to expect. She assessed my neck, told me I was a special case, but could help me, and then proceeded to adjust my neck and spine. Immediately following my first adjustment, I became extremely nauseous and dizzy. She told me it was my body releasing toxins, and that it would resolve in a few days. To be sure, she wanted me to return to her every day that week for an additional adjustment and had me pre-pay for the sessions. After each session, I still felt dizzy...almost like I had just woken up and my neck continued to hurt. My focus was all off and my eyes frequently drifted when trying to focus on something. Not normal...I had never experienced this before her first adjustment. Her prescription? More sessions with her...because I was a "special case." When I called her to tell her that I didn't think her adjustments were helping me and that I was going to stop seeing her, she threatened my decision by saying that "my insurance company may refuse to pay for the sessions if they find out I am going against doctor orders of continued adjustments." She said she could still help me and other doctors won't understand my "special case." That phone call was the end of my relationship with her. It has been almost a year and I am still experiencing the visual distortion and focus-problem affects from her adjustments. Other chiropractors I have talked to said she completely mis-read the causes of my neck pain. She took x-rays of my neck and of my neck only. It turns out the cause of my neck pain was in my lower back...something she didn't even think to explore before she started adjusting me. Other chiropractors were shocked she didn't x-ray my whole back and went right for a neck adjustment. Her operation seems to be based around how much money she can get from patients, and my guess is she didn't x-ray my back because it was expensive for her to explore it. Her staff told me they don't get enough money from the insurance companies for the sessions, and it is probably for this reason why my whole experience at her office felt like I was being duped by a sleazy salesman. In addition to her pre-pay request, after each of my sessions her staff tried to "up-sell" me with a whole bunch of health supplements that had no relevance to my neck. I see she has many good reviews on here, but if I could go back and change one thing about my life in the last year, it would be to never have visited her. She only made my body worse.

I woke up one morning to find my knee in such pain that I could barely move it off the bed, much…read moreless walk. I needed help to get up and get to a chiropractor who helped get things moving again and somewhat reduce the pain to where I could at least hobble or use a wheel chair on my own, but after a month the pain had not gone away. I was told to see my primary care doctor who took some X-rays and told me there was nothing they could do, that I had a degenerative condition that would only get worse and all they could do is put me on pain medication. That medication actually doubled my pain though and so I quit taking it after a week. Then I found Patrick at Fastback Physical Therapy. Within 15 minutes of a free examination Patrick assessed the issue, came up with a treatment plan and declared he could fix it within 6 weeks without drugs or surgery. I was pretty skeptical, but he was dead on. Six weeks later my pain was complete gone with no drugs and no surgery. My range of motion was restored and I was back to hiking in the woods for miles and miles with my family again completely pain free. Incredible. There is a saying that goes something like, 'Any technology sufficiently advanced will appear to be magic to those who have never experienced it'. Truth be told, Patrick and his team understand and apply the science of motion and how the body's ability to heal itself works at a level much higher than any other Doctor that I saw, but to me it just felt like magic.
