They were great. Cory came out and installed the device. Very professional and timely. Disregard other posts. They do a lot of warranty work and custoners are upset when warranty company wont cover costs. I would highly recommend there services. WARNING- They tried to sell us a lot of new parts and labor that we didn't need. It was very difficult to get them to respond to an email or a voicemail let alone show up. In the end all we needed was freon. read more

I got ghosted. Got a text July 5th that my part wasn't in and that they will reschedule. I called for 10 days straight leaving messages. Even my warranty company called. They finally text me with a new date to come out with no explanation as to why my calls weren't returned. I denied their service. 7/22/2021 I was assigned Freedom Heating & Cooling (FHC) through HSA home warranty. My A/C stop cooling in the middle of July. The lack of responsiveness and timeliness of repair service was absolutely horrible. This borderlines fraud and complete incompetence both on the part of HSA and FHC. I called FHC at least 8 times over the course of 5 days and was only able to reach them once. This type of customer service is unacceptable. I am planning to file legal actions against HSA and FHC, as my family was left without a technician showing up to repair for 5 days and the next available service was scheduled next Monday 7/26, which would make it a total of 9 days my family would not have had A/C in the middle of St Louis summer since I first requested service on 7/17. I canceled my service request and requested service from Budget Heating Cooling who is able to come and service our A/C the same day. Please stay away from doing business with HSA home warranty and Freedom Heating & Cooling. read more

Scammers!! Be aware of this company! We have American Home shield and they contracted Freedom Heating and Cooling from Washington Mo to repair our Air Conditioning unit. This started in August the first time they came to our house they miss diagnosed the problem said it was the compressor that needed fixed so they had to order it and come back to fix it. Our out of pocket for this was $600 to cover the Freon. It stopped working again 2 weeks later. It took several more trips to the house to find we needed a complete new unit and to measure for a new one. We were told there would be $1100 out of pocket cost for the elect, plumbing, and ductwork, all of which is already there. We questioned them about this and the response was that is just out flat rate no matter what. After an argument in our front yard freedom heating and cooling packed everything up and said they were not going to do it. We told them it is just going to be more of a hassle to have the insurance company to send them back out so just install it and we would pay them the $1100 . They asked how we were going to be paying and we said credit card and there response was no it had to be cash, of course we did not have that kind of money on hand. They took our old unit off their truck and left it in the middle of our yard instead of hooking it back up. Now our insurance company can not send anyone else out to diagnose it because it is not hooked up and this company is refusing to put it back because they lied and said my fiancé tried to get physical with him which is a lie because I have the whole thing on video, you got to love the ring!! So we are out the $600 we paid them for the Freon because they drained that out and took it with them and we still have no unit! Scammers and liars! This makes me give a star rating but it negative. This company installed a new AC in my attic and did Not hookup the water over flow pan, causing all water to leak through my attic floor and bathroom ceiling, bathroom walls. Two on site employeees acknowledged the damage was done due to a failed install, as well as the office manager. The office manager offered compensation on the owner's behalf. When I contacted the owner he was that to the owner he was very violent rude arrogant and mean. He refused he refused all repairs and told me that damage was done due to my house being old. Absolutely absurd!! I had to file many complaints, contact the Attorney General's Office, as well as a lawyer to get my repairs taking care of. read more

This is a completely trash company. They failed to meet their appointment time, never called to inform us and showed up an hour and a half late after we were given up on them and left the house. They then told our home warranty company we didn't let them in the door which is a complete lie and wildly unethical. The owner is a complete and utter douche and the receptionist is a total hag who hung up on us. Do not use this company. Do not use this company. My home warranty American home shield assigned freedom heating and cooling to come out to service my home. They came out on 2/9/21 to service my furnace. Chad the owner notified me that they didn't have all the supplies required to complete the job and advised me to call Crystal in order to set up a time for them to come back out to complete the job. He said a recoil would be placed allowing them to come back out while not charging me another service fee of $75.00 through my home warranty. On 3/3/21 I received a text through my home warranty that the job was complete. Freedom heating and cooling closed out my ticket stating the work had been done and never actually came back out to my house to finish the work. I called and spoke to crystal and she let me know she isn't in charge of her bosses schedule and he is aware that he needs to come back out to my house to finish the job. I then asked why the ticket was closed when the job wasn't finished and she informed me that's just what they do and they will be back out to my house soon. Had I not called my home warranty and it gone over 30 days I would have been responsible to pay an additional $75.00 fee to get another company out to my house. How sneaky of them! I barely made this deadline due to crystal ensuring me all was well and they would be in touch. It's ridiculous that they notified American home shield the job was complete when it wasn't. I'm sure they then collected payment from my home warranty while actually having no plans to come back out to my house to complete the job. What fraudulent activity. Now it's 4/8/21 (58 days) since they were originally out and they still haven't contacted me or made a attempt to schedule a time to come back out to my house. Numerous attempts on my end have been made in order to get in contact with the company. Not only have voicemails gone unanswered but personal texts to the owner have been sent which have also been unanswered. This is the most unprofessional unresponsive company I have ever worked with. Please beware and do not use this company. Hopefully someone will read this review and save themselves the headache I'm currently enduring from this awful company read more

Freedom Heating and Cooling was called out to my house from American Home Shield to assess my air conditioner. They informed me that I would need 12 pounds of Freon at $100 a pound for a total of $1200. They also said they would need $600 for modifications. When I contacted American Home Shield, they told me I would only need 9 pounds of Freon. So Freedom Heating and Cooling where trying to steal $300 for me. The came down on their bill after I questioned this to $1460. After 30 phone calls to American Home Shield, I received a request for a second opinion and that company informed me that he only charges $70 a pound for Freon and that very little modifications were needed and he said it should be about $600. American Home Shield is not allowing me to use the second vendor and making me go with Freedom Heating and Cooling. It has been a nightmare living without air conditioning in 100 degree weather but I refuse to pay this money to them. I have turned American Home Shield into the BBB as well as Consumer Affairs. I am going to pay someone the same amount to fix my air but Freedom Heating and Cooling won't see a dime from me. read more

Wish I could do zero stars. I have a friend who is in HVAC who told me I needed a $300 control board replacement for my furnace. I went through my home warranty company who dispatched Freedom to my house who also said the control board needing replaced. Great! Except when Keith came out to replace the board, he decided my thermostat wasn't working also. He replaced my $150 smart home thermostat with a $20, most basic thermostat you can buy. Then Keith took my "broken" smart thermostat with him when he left. We called over and over telling them we wanted it back, but he kept claiming he left it here on our kitchen table. Finally we called and said we would be filing a police report, and guess what?!?! He just so happened to find my "broken" thermostat. We had him drop it off because I was not letting him back in my house. I reinstalled it, and it works flawlessly, just like it had before the control board in the furnace went out. So either Keith is really stupid and bad at his job, or he tried to steal my smart thermostat. Either way, this company has really terrible employees, and I urge everyone to not consider this place. If you're going through a home warranty, you absolutely can tell them to use a different service provider. Demand it. read more
