Eunice was helpful in arranging my window view, I had asked for an ocean view however that choice was not available. The nurses were all very helpful and pleasant and it was very evident that they are a tight team. Kevin, Imelda, Sylent, Yitayew, Cathy and Michelle were all excellent , just to name a few. My PT Alex and my OT Mandana were responsible for getting me from very little leg movement to walking with some assistance and I owe them a great debt of gratitude for getting me to where I am today. The Drs. Rush, Druzin and Sachar came in and checked with me each day to make sure that I was being well looked after. The food was pretty good as well, hot and quite tasty for the most part. And last but not least was Chelsea, who was most helpful with information as well as arranging my follow up appointment with Dr. Badhiwala, my neurosurgeon. All in all my stay was great and I recommend this resort for anybody requiring rehab. I will probably return within the next year. My thanks to all the staff

My husband was referred to St. John's Rehab Hospital almost 4 weeks after a motorcycle accident,…read moreand after spending 6 days in ICU at Sunnybrook, 6 days in the trauma unit at Sunnybrook and 12 days at the Uxbridge Hospital while waiting for a space in Rehab. He had excellent care in all 3 locations. Doctors, nursing staff, physio and OT, and the social worker at St. John's were all excellent, caring, thoughtful people who saw Peter as an individual, and not just as an 81-year-old man. They all worked hard to help him achieve his goals; and he is now home after 8 weeks in hospital, and continuing his therapy. We will always be grateful for the care he received at St. John's. Also a thank you to James Brydges, who took the time to teach us about the gardens behind the hospital, and to Mother Joanne who visited Peter frequently.

There are a lot of parking lots but most of them require you to pay hourly or you can purchase the daily/weekly pass. There is a Tim Hortons inside - very convenient. The doctors and nurses there were great and very tentative. They provided a lot of support and encouragement.

My dad has escaped a stay (knock on wood!) at this hospital. I did a couple of nutritional sessions with a dietician at this hospital over a decade ago. I got a referral by my doctor and it was two sessions that proved helpful. I enjoyed the field trip that we did to the Loblaws nearby and learning how to effectively read nutrition labels on products, along with in-classroom instruction. These sessions were helpful guiding me in losing sixty pounds and keeping most of it off to this day. I have also seen a rheumatologist and an ophthalmologist at MSH. The former was to rule out a finding from my bloodwork. The latter was similar, to rule out a detail found in an x-ray. I had surgery at this hospital over a decade ago here. The process to check in, change, get anesthesia administered, have surgery, go through physiotherapy, and gradually return to my normal self was thoughtfully planned. My surgeon was awesome, who scheduled a couple of post-surgery appointments to make sure that I was on the mend and got my staples removed. I was a patient for four days. The meals were okay. I obviously survived. I looked forward to them because I'm just that type of person. I chose the diabetic plan because I wanted less sugar. I also knew the food drop-off schedule like clockwork... haha! Staff were competent, from the nurses and doctors, to the radiologists and various interns. No complaints. My mom also had surgery here. Her stay was a bit longer, but she was made to feel comfortable. She also had a physiotherapy component. The wait times can be extremely long. Even with an appointment, I remember my appointment being at least two hours in length, with most of it being a wait. It's paid parking. You basically pay at a kiosk. If you are lucky to have someone drop you off and pick you up, you'll save a bit. For my last appointment post-surgery, my dad dropped me off and picked me up. It was great, but trying to let him know when my appointment was nearly done was tough to predict. As with most hospitals in Canada, if it's for an emergency, expect a wait. Triage at MSH is much better than at other hospitals in the GTA, such as Toronto Western and Birchmount (formerly Scarborough Grace). Many factors are at play, from how many doctors are on staff to see patients, to the severity of the health issue. I booked COVID-19 shots for my parents in a building next to the hospital during the height of the pandemic. My parents were pleased with how things went. My dad didn't complain, so things went smoothly and they got their shots together. It's a decent hospital. I am thankful for the care that my mom and I have had. (45)

Everyone was magically before me in queue. This time, I was told 15 mins wait but I waited a bit over 30 mins for an unfriendly doctor. From experience, the doctors are good here but I'm not a fan of how the receptionist runs things. In the past, I would wait 10 mins max. I'm not sure what happened. This place used to be really good :/ Maybe call and book an appointment with a specific doctor ( not all the doctors are good here. That day, I had a bad doctor!) I don't think I'll ever come back. There are a lot of doctors in Toronto so I'll go elsewhere

I had been on 5 north in the hospital working out medications and treating my PTSD. Tonight I was…read moredischarged. It started with me having to move rooms I was scared and didn't want to. I freaked out today and screamed and slammed my doors.then I said fuck you to the head psychiatrist after he told me that I wanted everything that ****** did to me. And asked me if we were in a sadist machinist relationship. I Got so upset and yelled at him and said I was raped by him. And abused and confined. I suffered concussions broken nose and may other things. He then went on and on about how there had to be a reason I wanted to stay and that I liked it. He then told me that I dont have ptsd or anything else i just have a behavioral problem. I told him he shouldn't even be a psyciatrist and that i was going to go home and kill myself and he said okay and discharged me. . Also this man met with me for no more then 15 minutes. He isn't even my psychiatrist. I do not recommend this disrespectful man to anyone. Especially those suffering with PTSD, stockholm syndrome, or depression. Very traumatic experience. He is horrible.
