He picked us up in the plane right in front of our hotel (Eldorado Hotel) and let me tell you the entrance of the plane was amazing.... The flight was stunning to say the least. I would say almost everybody gets screwed out of flying for months at a time. It's because the school doesn't have enough planes for how many students they accept. And due to their over-cautious weather restrictions (it almost has to be a perfect day to be allowed flying). If you go here you can expect to not be allowed to to leave Kelowna for over 2 years. I was the only one in my class who was allowed to go home in the summer, because i had proof of employment back home. They even told my classmate he couldn't go to his sister's wedding for the weekend, even though he didn't have any flights booked. And then the school director booked him a flight right after he asked so that he would have to stay in Kelowna. Marc Vanderhagen the flight school director is a piece of work, the definition of little man syndrome is embodied in him. My thesis is that this school is a joke and they just want as much of your money as they can possibly milk out of you, and that's why they try and keep you around for so long.

They overcharge because they know they're the only flight school in the area so they can get away with it. (Multi-engine flights are almost double what they cost if you were to do it in vancouver). But worst of all they're poorly organized, most people went months without getting a single flight since the school books your flights and not you. Then they expect you to do your flight test even if you haven't flown in 2 months and you aren't allowed a review flight. Sounds like a good idea right? This happened to me, and when i failed, i was told i had to attempt it again and i wasn't allowed a review flight and they didn't rebook me to fly the test again for another 2 MONTHS. I'm not making this up. I failed it again and you wouldn't believe it but it was another 2 months until i was rebooked for a third attempt, still with no review flights. Needless to say i failed again and i left the school after that. There's alot more things they do that i could go off about but i won't. Just don't go here and give them your money because you could get better training for much less money and much less time somewhere else.
