Scheduling is tough but the instructors are great and really care about the kids learning to swim. The facility is very clean even though the bathroom/changing rooms are very small. Parking is never an issue since there are over 50 parking spots. No worry about being cold because the pool is heated. It does get quite crazy during registration because of the limited time slots especially for beginner classes. They are expanding to a new location for the higher levels near Coney Island with a much larger pool which is needed for proper level 4+ training when they learn to glide. They also have adult swim classes on certain times but it's mostly younger kids here and mostly Asian kids. All students are required to have proper gear including a head cap and goggles. They also sell SwimKoi branded ones.

From water activities, arts and crafts, play rehearsals, pizza Friday and scheduled trips to cool places! Rosemarie worked with me and made my family feel welcome as new campers. They worked with my daughter who has ADHD and allowed her to have fun in a safe environment and made luge long friends. The Masters in this school always make him feel comfortable upon return and do their best to help keep his asthma from stopping him from proceeding with class. Some will even carry his inhaler with them in case he needs it. Sometimes it is very busy and some things may get lost in the shuffle, do not hesitate to ask the staff to repeat or find something out for you. They do not mind. There are a lot of children in this school! Be patient! The best programs have many many happy hardworking students. This is one of them.

The…read morestaff ALWAYS made sure that all the kids were having a great time and most important to me, I always felt that my son was safe. Coach Gordon and his staff are thee absolute best! THEY are the reason that Stargazer is a great camp. They take the kids on fun trips almost every week......I'm not talking about the run of the mill trip to the zoo but to great indoor water parks, Dave & Buster's, and way too many more places for me to name. Not only do they take the kids on the nice trips but ......wait for it......they allow and invite the family to attend too!!! Come on now, where they do that at?? At Stargazer!! TRUST that Stargazer is always going to one up the average camp. My son always spoke fondly of Coach Gordon, Coach Thomas, Securo(I don't know how his name is spelled) Alvin, Fredo, Ronan, Tyler, Barry. I love love love that Coach Gordon, and ALL of his staff (especially Coach Thomas and Coach JuJu) are very approachable and no matter how busy they are they always take time out to address anything and everything that might be going on with the kids in a very professional and caring manner.
