They've got a snack bar with tables and some hammocks strung up. There are some storage containers on the side with a bunch of bikes -- I rented a basic one speed bike for the day for Euro 10. I used my driver's license as a deposit. Given the absence of hills, no need for more than one speed (also, the more basic the bike, the less chance for it to get stolen). Only downside is that they close at 6:00 PM. If you've got a long layover at Schipol airport you can take the 178 or 310 bus to Amstelveenweg for Euro 5 (each way) and walk about 10 minutes (less than 1 mile) south.

Very rude & bad customer service... does not know how to talk with customers. I went there to have some minimal repair to my bike... and they were charging me a leg and an arm for something very easy and minimal to do and on top of that wanted to charge extra for every little thing I asked them to check. I would suggest to walk 2 minutes further and go to the Decathlon work and you get a much better attitude and not trying to rip off.

We insisted this was not our burden, that the deal was struck and they should honour it: not charge us an additional 110 euros. In going back and forth with them, Nikolai was speaking with us and was extremely rude, treating myself and a friend with disrespect. I do not recommend this store to anyone!

Since this was my first time in Amsterdam, this kind of thing genuinely surprised me! This dispensary, or shall I say coffee shop, is a little hidden gem that has a ton of seating where you can enjoy whatever type of weed you're having. I have a love/hate relationship with weed in general - sometimes I want to take it, other times I do not. If I end up taking week in most cases, even if it's a small amount, I sometimes feel like a fish out of water. My dad ended up ordering a red velvet cupcake edible, which was titled "Sweet Sins Bakery". While the cupcakes looked good to eat, I didn't even try to have one bite of it. Other edibles besides this specific cupcake are also available. Cool place and I think this is the closest coffee shop that was within walking distance of our hotel. Also located right across the street is a train station (which we took to get here), which is convenient.

But I WAS surprised that in bike city no one came up with this idea erlier. I saved their number on my mobile phone despite my naive hope that I'll never have to call them. Shortly after I had to and I was thankful to hear that one of them was in the hood and I didn't have to wait too long. The guy came equipped with spare wheel, bike pump and toolset. The bike was quickly fixed and I don't remember what the service cost but I do remember that it is very good value for money and no extra urgency charge. So, I recommend everyone to save the number of DAFT to get quick hassle-free help in bike emergencies.

Very convenient, but I had to wait an extra day since they couldn't meet me until after 11am. And even though I asked for the price ahead of time, they forgot to send it to me. Though, I think the cost was reasonable. I would just make sure you know the price before you go if it's not already on the price list. You can pay in cash or they will invoice you and you can transfer the funds that day. They have an app, but it's iOS only for now. :(
