She is not worthy of any stars. She is egotistical and narcissistic. She spent most of the session talking about herself, her recovery, and her book. She was out of line and quite disgusting by giving advice to someone who isn't even her client. Overall she breached hippa but wouldn't know anything about that. I believe Jill Haire is unprofessional. She started most sessions late, without apology or mitigation. She does not advertise herself as a faith-based therapist, and yet, instead of steering a discussion away from a disagreement over a bible passage, she became incensed, continued the debate, and ended it by ordering me to leave. Upon me questioning her professionalism in that regard she stood over me angrily, making me feel threatened, shouting "I have been sober for 18 years, what have you done?!", and outright telling me that her "relationship with Jesus" was her first priority, "not you." As I left, she yelled "Be a man!" from the doorway. She made other statements then and later in a text message, using things we had discussed in therapy against me. She doesn't not listen to her clients very well and it's very apparent that her personal life and experiences are VERY MUCH a part of how she views the experiences of her clients, which is natural to some extent, but should be removed. Every session included her talking about her own life and it certainly kept her from listening. My roommate and best friend had a counseling session with her, because he was low income and we spoke to her she offered to do a lower rate for thefirst session and in that session mentioned to my friend what her usual rate was. Me and my mother and sometimes roommates were wanting to do group sessions with her since my roommate had gone to her and offered fair pricing, she agreed to do it at the same rate she gave to him. We had to reschedule due to my mom getting sick and when calling a couple weeks later to reschedule she offered a much higher rate claiming her normal rate is even higher than what she had previously just weeks earlier agreed to. She was extremely rude and said she had only even done that low rate with 2 people her whole life and that she already feels she has competitive rates and her tone was unprofessional and then I'm guessing when we explained more to her and she asked what my roommate and friends last name was and said oh okay now I see what happened she must of realized her mistake but she did not even apologize for trying to claim theirs no way that rate could be so earlier in the convo. She wanted to book us for an appointment and we simply said at this point we weren't interested in having a session with her( because she could have said I'm unsure let me check etc but she flat out pretty much tried to tell us their was no way she would offer that low of a rate and then later in looking in her info or realiziNg my roommates last name realized it without even apologizing to us. )When we told her we weren't interested she said" well if that's the attitude you want to adopt good luck" and hung up. After going on yelp and seeing what looks like her only other review I'd say it's an accurate assumption of how she is. I've gone to counseling at various points in my life and even when I've expressed I disliked something a counselor said or said the rate was too high I'm uninterested etc have never been spoken to this way by counselors. She sounded rude and had a bad attitude most of the conversation. She is unprofessional aND definitely not someone we will be seeing nor recomending for that matter. Jill Haire gave me life where there was none! My husband leaving me for another woman after 17 yrs of marriage, left me feeling abandoned, worthless, alone and ugly!! I was referred to Jill several years ago. Myself and many of my family members have benefited greatly from Jill's services throughout the years. Let's face it! There are many things we are not taught in grade school like how to communicate, how to feel and how to deal with your feelings. Jill was very knowledgable and willing to help me to help on work these issues! I was very stubborn at first but she had a lot of patience and held my hand and walked me through the steps giving me the tools I needed that would help me not only during my sessions but would stay with me for a lifetime. Communication does not always come easy for many of us and I sure needed help in that department. I will forever be thankful for what Jill has done for me and my family. It has greatly changed my life and the way I deal with people and life on a day to day basis. There are always going to be triggers in life but how you respond to those triggers makes all the difference. Jill will help you determine what those triggers are and how to respond to them.
