The only thing good I can say about this business is 20 years ago you could count on Fred's for all your motorcycle needs, today, not so much. Wanted to talk to a mechanic about a 90 four trax we bought our daughter new from them. This guys was beyond rude, he actually hung up on my husband when asked for advice about putting a OEMSD carburator on this bike. We can't figure out if he just didn't know about carb replacement or if he just didn't care since we were trying to do the repairs ourself and not having them do it. Whatever the reason, totally unprofessional. Gave 1 star review because there is nothing lower. read more

This place has handled all my motorcycle needs for a long time now - dont' go anywhere else.

Took my bike in to get brake lines bled and an oil change. They ended up breaking off part of my fairing. When I went to pick it up they didn't offer to fix, replace, or pay for the damage. I had to argue to get a small cash discount on the job. Won't be giving them any of my future business. Staff seems apathetic and customer service is crap. read more

WARNING! Deceptive business practices. Took an ATV in for consignment that was running and starting fine. Salesperson "Buzz" drove it around back and came back 5 minutes later complaining it wouldn't run, he then shut it off and then it wouldn't start. He wanted us to pay for a carburetor rebuild before taking it on consignment. After taking it back home and troubleshooting it, we discovered the fuel line switch had been turned off---something we never do. BEWARE of these swindlers! read more

Being a first time biker owner, I assumed a name like Fred's Honda would be the best option I had for having my clutch problem taken care of. Initially when I called them, they were two weeks out on being able to 'schedule' my bike, so at their advice I did what was suggested, rode it and it seemed to be better, but failed again and I found myself stuck in hillbilly rush hour traffic. I called once more and found they could get me in the following Tuesday, so took the bike over to them. I told them what I thought the problem was--clutch master cylinder, but instead of doing what the customer wanted to have done--the clutch master rebuilt, twelve days later, I went to retrieve my bike that still hadn't been worked on, took it to a coworker of mine, and he had it apart and back together again with parts they had ordered, in an hour and a half. Had I waited for Fred's to work on it, it would have been day 14 before they rolled it into the mechanic's bay. I will never take anything to them again. It wasn't they weren't a good place at one time 20+ years ago, and it wasn't because the employees seem to be fine--just that something as simple as staying and following a bike through to completion of the repair seems to be a little off, especially when I can have somebody who has no diploma, GED or certificate to work on bikes be able to get the job done in less time than it took Buzz to pick his nose and exhale. read more
