Decent gas prices and broad food selection but there is so much in the general merchandise section that it's almost impossible impossible to push a cart through certain sections of the store. I've come to this location ever since moving to the Buckley/Bonney Lake area. They have a great selection of festive decorations during the holidays, and their food quality is great! The prices could do with a bit of altering as some items are quite a bit higher than most items at WinCo. Their clothes selection is in dire need of an update, as it seems there are a lot of old fashioned styles there and nothing trendy or more modern. Customer service is sub-par, nobody goes out of their way to welcome you to the store or say anything to you as you pass by them, only when you come up to them at a Checkout stand, or Customer service desk. I'd recommend this store during the holidays, but outside that, you have plenty more options for lower priced produce, such as WinCo. read more

Terrible management. Employee (guy) who helps with liquor either doesn't acknowledge you at all, or is just grumpy. Guy stocking chips was doing all he could to smash every bag as he stocked..throwing them onto shelves. Other employees standing around blocking aisles while complaining about thier EASY jobs. This review is for the bakery staff, especially Abby. I was stressed to get a full sheet cake ordered for my son's event and Abby was fantastic in helping me through the process and the cake decorator did an amazing job. Lots of people at the event commented on how well the cake looked and the taste was just as impressive as it was not overly sweet. I have always liked Fred Meyer for the convenience of a grocery store and department store. Since the recent remodel, I dread going there! I feel I have given myself a reasonable amount of time to re-learn where items are, but the layout still makes no sense! I do appreciate the wider isles and more checkout stands. The addition of a wine/beer bar is ridiculous! That is a lot of square footage that is only open part of the day and only to adults. I don't think I've ever seen anyone using it! Why not use that area and re-establish an electronics area? The current electronics selection has been gutted! I haven't found anyone who is happy with the "New Fred Meyer". I sure hope that Sumner Fred Meyer doesn't go down the same path as the Bonney Lake store. read more

It really sadens me to write this because I have been a Fred Meyer shopper for 30 years. I shopped Auburn in the late 80's when it was new, Twin Lakes when I lived an worked there and Kent on Pacific Highway for the last 20 years. Fred Meyer has always been my first choice for convenience, price, selection and friendly staff. I moved to Bonney Lake back In August of 2018. This store was under heavy renovations at the time, so I gave them a pass for the mess. Now that renovations are done, I am not quite sure why they did them in the first place. The layout of the store makes no sense and it is incredibly difficult to find what you are looking for. I end up spending so much more time there because items are all over the place. The other day I found cheese in 3 different places. Unfortunately, I did not find the selection I was looking for until I came across the 3rd collection of cheese. You know how in the movies, there is a person who is completely insane, but from their perspective, everything they are doing makes sense? it may have been that kind of individual that created the layout. Perhaps chaos and lost customers is what they are going for. I asked the checker about the layout and she said she can never find anything either. She did suggest downloading the app which when you punch in what you are looking for, it will give you directions. Sounds a little too 1984 for me. Sorry Fred Meyer, but I have no choice but to start shopping at Safeway down the street which I really, REALLY dread. read more

Although I go grocery shopping mainly at the commissary on post since it's a lot cheaper I do come here in a pinch and it's starting to look better and better. The renovation are done around the veggie area and they have an awesome program called scan & go you scan when you grab your item and put it in a bag when you get to self check out you scan the little bar code on the machine and your bill pops up and you pay and go. Saved a bunch of time and it's pretty cool to do. read more

Stopped in here to return shoes that were small for my daughter. I stood in the for customer service and noticed the sign say that it was closed. I called out to a lady wearing a red vest (assuming she was a manager) and she said "it's closed". I said I had a return and she said I wasn't able to do it because the person was on lunch. I had never heard of going to Fred Meyer and not being able to access someone at Customer Service. She was very short and condescending. We were walking out and I asked my husband to go back and check to see what her name (by the way, it's Candace) was because I was so bothered by her actions that I wanted to get a name. I have been a Fred Meyer customer for about 25 years and I know her actions are not part of Fred Meyers values and the way they treat their customers. When my husband walked back he saw that a lady was working customer service now (she was there less than 3 minutes from the time we stood there). Since we had left, by the time we walked back, there was a long line. While we stood in line, Candace and another employee were talking about me and my family and were talking and staring back at us (more unprofessional behavior) so I stood there and stared back at then to let them know I knew they were talking about us. We waited in line and the person in front of us had a question and they had to call Candace to help. Candace was short with the employee but made sure to talk to the customer more patiently and thoroughly. I wish she would have taken just a brief moment to show us that same respect. I can't help but wonder if it is because I am Asian and she thought I wouldn't understand what she was saying? Either way, the service and response was most definitely not the same. read more

I hope the manager reads this. I know you are probably short handed but the area outside your store is disgusting. The parking lot, area by door ways and landscaping told all of garbage. Now I will say that most of the employees at the store are great. I'd say 95% of them are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it's maybe one or two people that work there that ruin it for the entire store for me. An incredibly rude and nasty woman by the name of Brenda, who's a cashier at the bonney lake Fred Meyer... Well I accidentally decided to go through her line one day and boy do I regret that, basically got laughed at, snickered at and bullied for the entire time I was standing in her line.....as she was telling me that she hates Instacart shoppers and that we're never organized and how stupid and slow we are. (Mind you I'm very good at my job, I grabbed a small card and there was a couple items I needed to organize which would have taken me less than 30 seconds, but she jumped down my throat the second I stepped up to her line) She kept saying over and over again how great at her job was......yet she forgot to ring up two of my items!!!!! on two separate orders!!!!! Besides that she was also slamming my customers items into the bags as she was bagging them. All while doing this, she's signaling and talking to the customer service ladies and getting them all riled up. (Even though they have no idea that she started it the entire time with me for absolutely no reason other than she's a miserable woman) Finally after 10 minutes of being bullied and spoken to very rudely by this woman, I finally told her that no you're not good at your job because, I'm upset and that I would never treat any of my customers like that. Again she just laughed in my face and I told her she was a b**** from the second I walked up to her line and I didn't appreciate it. At that point other ladies started to gang up on me from the customer service desk yelling at me to leave the store and never return! Well I go in a week later to do some shopping....minding my own business walking out of the store with my groceries, and the same woman... . Brenda Jones decides to say I thought we kicked you out of the store..... in front of a whole bunch of people. I'm so disgusted by her and the other ladies and customer service. I cannot believe they're unprofessionalism. I can't believe that Fred Meyers allows their people to treat customers like this. If I wanted to wait 23 minutes in line I would go shop at Walmart and pay a lot less. Several managers walked by with clip boards and radios and did or said nothing about the ridiculous lines and only 2 registers open. This review is for the fuel station only. I like the supermarket very much but the fuel station is a typical one that FM likes staffed with Walmart "talent". I was heading to the Cascades and needed a full tank. I asked the attendant Jose "how much discount can I get here with my shopper's card?" and he passed to me a receipt with some zeros on it and a number of points, without simply telling me the discount. (I guess I should have studied the dicounting scheme on FM website that stopped being functional 4 years ago.) So I said "This doesn't tell me much" while he looked aside ignoring me with a bored look. Noticing in my experience that FM's fuel attendants tend to be heavy since ~2008, I decided not to waste time inquiring further. Lady at the Customer Service desk succinctly explained what Jose wouldn't, that the discount is 10 cents for each 100 points, simple enough. Of course at this time the fuel booth had a line so I simply went to Arco next door and filled up for the same price as FM, but with quick professional service. read more

I walked up to the customer service desk and said "excuse me" (both of the ladies' backs were facing the front of the counter mind you), both ignored me however. I loooove FM, for their very large natural section, fast checkout service, and their kid place for the most part. I wouldn't go there nearly as much if they didn't have a free kid place. Lately they've had a new worker over the last couple months, one of them you can tell really doesn't enjoy being in there. This person complains, isn't tactful, has the kids clean up (when they don't need to) she isn't personable. I'd honestly give a higher rating if they hadn't hired her (and moved that dang sucker stand), my kids don't enjoy going there anymore because of her. It's sad. I'm a huge fan of the little old ladies, they play with the kids, sit and talk to them and are so sweet and pleasant when checking kids in. Love this store. Been coming here for 11 years. Recently a few of the new checkers are slow as they train, I'm sure no one else ever had to learn how to do a new job right? They have gone above and beyond helping locate products, issuing and honoring rain checks, always a friendly smile, wave and talk to my kids. The prior checkers over the years used to know us by name, and would always make sure to say hello and use each child's name even! Small town values I hope stick around. Best produce for a good price. Good organic, gluten, and dairy free selections. Will be back. I am daily...at least once! read more

I like your store for the clothes that you have. Food prices are higher but not too much. Your kitchen, bed & bath, furniture, artwork, and other items are too too much. Do you think smart people are going to spend their hard earned money on it??? I think NOT. I like the middle aged gal who works the clothing department, (blond haired woman). I tried Fred Meyer's new grocery delivery service and ended up a dissatisfied customer after years of shopping at Fred Meyer. Since I was entertaining that night I decided to skip the trip to the grocery store and try the grocery delivery that was advertised to me on a postcard from Fred Meyer. Placing the order through their website was easy enough. Actually getting my groceries was not. They never arrived. They said they'd arrive in 1-2 hours. I even got a notification that someone was shopping for me at the moment. But 4 hours later the groceries still hadn't arrived. I called Fred Meyer and routed to the grocery department. The first person that answered said she didn't know they had delivery, so she walked over to the grocery manager without putting me on hold so I could hear them trying to figure out what I was talking about, and then was told by the grocery manager that the service was an outside vendor and they couldn't help me. I asked for the email for their corporate office so I could tell them what I thought of their grocery delivery service and she said she couldn't give me that information. By this time I was an hour away from company arriving and trying to figure out who to contact to find out if they were coming or not. I eventually found out that the outside vendor is InstaCart. When I called the rep was very rude. I asked to talk to the manager and he offered me a credit on my account to try them again. (why would I ever do that???) He didn't say they cancelled my order, but they must have because the groceries never did arrive. I went to the corporate site for Kroger's, found an email, and let them know about my experience with their grocery delivery service. Again - advertised to me on a postcard from Fred Meyer. I thought they'd be mortified by how their vendor performed, and by their grocery manager. Nope. Instead they told me that the delivery service is not associated with Kroger and contact them directly. I now know why their grocery manager felt comfortable not being customer-focused. Apparently this is a company culture. I've shopped at Fred Meyer for years without incident, but the measure of a company is how they respond to an issue when it comes up. They simply didn't even register on the measuring stick. I wish I could have given them 0 stars instead of 1. read more

I will never do my shopping at this Fred Meyer. I felt completely demoralized as an African American woman. I was doing some shopping and grabbed some wine for the night. I approached the line and placed my items on the belt, the employee who was already not so friendly (seems to be an issue at this store after reading other reviews) proceeds to ask for my I.d. And went on to say that she would not sell me alcohol because my I.d. didn't look like me. I offered to show my old I.d., take my mask down in addition to showing her other cards that had my name and pic on it. She walked off saying she was going to get a manager. The manager comes and they both sit there staring at me without even asking me to take my mask down. The only difference between my I.d. And my current state is that I had straight hair colored blonde on my license pic and currently have black curly hair. I walk over to the manager and tell her that I have my old i.d. And other identifications and can take my mask down. After taking my mask down they continue to stare at me before approving the purchase. I go back to the line the employee continues with her attitude so I guess we both have an attitude at this point. She asks for my rewards card and I didn't hear her and ask for her to repeat herself. Welp, she repeated herself a little too loud for my liking with an attitude. I left the line to speak with the manager, I told her I felt like I was being discriminated against because in all of my legal years I have never had an issue with someone saying my I.d. Did not favor me. The manager then said that my pic was washed out on the I.d. (I received my new license 2 weeks ago because the old one expired) , she then proceeded to say it makes a big difference that my hair was straight in the pic, but she likes the natural look ( I had my hair in a curly bun coming from the gym). She continued to tell me not to take it personal, but how can you not when 1. The employee never asked me to take my mask down to compare 2. I had to offer multiple solutions and take my mask down because the manager and employee continued to stare me down and make a comparison with my mask on 3. I can't wear my hair in it's natural state as an African American woman and if I do so I can't use my I.d or make an adult purchase ???????? This was very personal and if it was not their intention then they need to do some serious training. Training for how to treat customers since this seems to be a thing at this store and a cultural training as well because all black people don't look alike. I just purchased $48.00 of the tri tip on sale at this Fred Meyer. The weight on the package was 9.58 lbs. After getting home and opening the package I flipped the roast over and had to trim an inch and a half of fat off the roast, resulting in my total purchase of actual meat being less than 5 lbs. I was looking at coconut oil and their price was $33 but on amazon i can get it for $13- um- eek? prices seem a little high. frames also seemed over priced and then they claim they are 40% off, which takes them down to normal prices? who do they think they are fooling. I went to the Bonney Lake store recently to get a red cabbage. There was one rotting organic one left. I asked stocker 1 if she could see if there were more. She asked stocker 2 (who was stocking cucumbers). Stocker 2 told her to tell me she would go check and continued stocking cucumbers. I waited around the produce department for awhile until stocker number 1 (who must have been training) came back to me (she looked embarrassed that stocker number 2 had not acknowledged me yet and was still continuing her important task of stocking her cucumbers. (never looking up from her task at hand). Stocker number 1 told me stocker number 2 would not be able to check for me until she was done stocking her cucumbers. I then told her I would get my produce elsewhere. Fred Meyer produce is not that good anymore after the remodel and the employees seem like they are not happy with their jobs. A little good customer service goes a long, long way. Think about it. read more

The staff here are rude and very unprofessional they follow you around and act like your tryin to steal from them when I've been a loyal customer for years now they harass will harass you I had grab some shoes I was going to buy but before I checked out I put them on and was warring them because my old shoes were to small and hurt my feet and as I was checking out some other clothing that I needed to buy the manager came up to me and told me I need to take the shoes off right now I told him I Was about to buy then and he was very rude told me again I need to take them off right now because they didn't want them to get dirty I told him again I was about to buy them and he just keep repeating you need to take them off right now I wasn't going to argue with him so I took them off I get that it might have looked like I might have been tryin to steal them or something but I literally was carrying the box around with me and as doing so him and another worker stood there staring at me like they were discusted while whispering to one another I will never come back to this store very dissatisfied with the service here and how they treat people ! Don't shop here often as the store is usually pretty filthy and the employees clearly hate it there. Typically, I deal only with the pharmacy but even at this point, we're moving on. The employees are rude and spend more time chit chatting than actually performing their jobs. When dropping off a medication, I was told it would be a 45 minute wait, which is typical for them but about 30-35 minutes longer than anywhere else I've filled this same prescription. I verified with the employee that they would call regarding my prescription since I would be waiting for it in my car. She said "yep", verified my phone #, accepted the prescription, and sent me on my way. I got a text alert shortly after stating they received my prescription and will notify me when it's completed. So I waited. And waited. And waited. Silence. Went back in and decided to grab a few things during the rest of my wait when I heard my name announced over the intercom to come to the pharmacy. Yay! It's done! I stand in line, go to pick up, and the employee tells me they can't fill the prescription because it's dated further out. Tells me to grab the other prescriptions and bring it in. Nothing was said when accepted and they were so busy talking amongst themselves, they couldn't be bothered to call. Her excuse was that she sent me a text, even though it mentioned nothing of a problem. Was told another 30-45 minute wait. Unfortunately I had no other choice as I needed this medication immediately. While waiting for the 2nd time, I found there was a Rite Aid right across the street. Spoke with them and not only was my hold time significantly less, the service I received was infinitely better.
