I started getting suspicious after five or six months. Then, in November, Dr. O'Neill announces the battery finally needs to be replaced. He schedule x-rays and an general exam to make sure my dad is healthy enough to undergo surgery. We later see Dr. O'Neill who reviews the x-rays which show my dad has pneumonia. "Don't worry, I'll prescribe antibiotics", says Dr. O'Neill. Two weeks later, pneumonia is still there. We again see Dr. O'Neill. I say,"Maybe he needs to be hospitalized". Dr. O'Neill, "Let's check with my specialists. I'll call and get a priority appointment". "Here are some more antibiotics". Soonest we can see the specialist is 10 days. A few days later I take my dad to VA emergency room as pneumonia is still there. At intake, nurse takes x-ray. Half hour later the x-ray show that he has a large spot on his lung, probably cancer. Admitted immediately. More tests. Collapsed lung and the cancer is stage four and has spread to his liver which is covered in lesions. Doctors conclude there is no hope and today, Christmas, we decided to stop all life-prolonging procedures. Any word from O'Neill's office? Of course not. Would you want to risk your life with doctors like this? Post-script. My dad passed December 26, 2013. He did not suffer long and we were with him as he passed.

So happy I didn't have to prolong the wait. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and I was called back by Dr. Lee's staff after only waiting a few minutes. She was also very engaging and friendly, which was appreciated. The reason I'm writing this review is to share how happy I was with Dr. Robert Lee. He was very friendly and listened to me and then offered his knowledge. He asked me a few times if I had any questions or comments so I was happy that he was ready to answer anything I needed to know. While I hope that I don't have to see him again -- eek! don't want heart troubles -- it is nice to know that I would be in great hands should I need to see him again. Dr. Lee put my mind at ease and was such a great doctor!

I was treated for an Achilles injury that happened in July 2023; I was seen by Dr Zenia Cortes in December 2023. From the first appointment, Dr Cortes was the most professional, and caring person I have ever met in the medical field! Her compassion she showed brought tears to my eyes. I was overwhelmed with the high level of patient care she rendered. Dr Zenia Cortes is very experienced and highly educated in her profession, as an orthopedic surgeon and specialist. I felt at peace cause I knew I was in good hands. Dr Cortes had my best interest at heart. I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude cause she cared about me as an individual. Every single patient that walks into her office, is treated as a valued client. Dr Zenia Cortes educated me on the past and present condition of my Achilles injury; she then went onto educate me on the necessary need for surgery. At this time, I was very concerned; however, she put me at ease and reassured me that she will give best treatment for my Achilles tear. She immediately went to work and got all my patient records transferred over to her office and I was immediately in the process for surgery. Dr Zenia Cortes treated me for the mishandling of the previous doctor. Those mishaps were corrected to salvage my Achilles, and put me on the road to proper treatment! Prior to being sedated for surgery, Dr Zenia Cortes informed me of the surgery procedure she was going to do. I truly felt at peace cause she informed me of everything that was going to take place. Transparency and honesty is what she is all about and truly helped me embrace the process. After the operation was over I felt that I made a dear friend for life; because of her professionalism and dedication to her craft, I am able to return to my normal physical activities. Dr Cortes is dear to my heart cause she gave me a life again and a livelihood that was almost taken away from me. Dr Cortes treated me with kindness and respect, something that I have never experienced. I really do appreciate her from the bottom of my heart. From my wife and I we appreciate everything she has done for us in my road to recovery! Lastly , I would like to take this time and comment on the office staff at Healthpointe Medical Group located in Garden Grove. The staff at Healthpointe is very nice and very helpful at facilitating the clients. All the staff members are extremely nice, and highly motivated individuals who take pride in their job. The office area is very neat and well organized; the office area is decorated very holiday season. The physical therapy team are highly motivated people who do their very best to help clients reach their goals in physical therapy. I am now back at work because of these professional people. I want to say thanks for everything you've done for me in this process.

I'm a caregiver and my client was across the street in acute care when they had an emergency and…read morewas transported to this hospital. Initially things seemed ok. They found a common problem and scheduled surgery, however I heard the nurse upstairs had reported giving IV antibiotics before surgery but had forgotten to actually give them and told the surgical staff it's ok they get them after surgery. 3 days later they were discharging my client despite his daughters concern it was too soon. Daughter appealed to have him stay, hospital said appeal was denied. 1 week later a letter was mailed to the home saying the insurance agreed he should stay in the hospital because hospital sent no documentation supporting discharge. I noticed an IV that had another persons info and then realized they were giving 4 IVs to my client that were all labeled for a patient that had shared the room but left earlier. When I reported this medication error the nurse grabbed all the IVs and took them to dispose somewhere else. They ripped up all the pharmacy labels showing it was for another patient. Thankfully I had taken pics to prove it happened. After discharge my client went downhill immediately and was brought back 7 days later. They found a drain from the surgery was not inserted correctly, also found a new infection at the surgery incision requiring a second antibiotic, totaling 3 weeks of IV and oral antibiotics. We are currently hospitalized again but this time at a different hospital having everything that was done at Anaheim Regional reviewed by a new team of Drs. This patient had pneumonia on the first admission to this hospital but no treatment has been identified in his back and fourth visits here. I also learned patient has AFIB, since Anaheim never had him hooked up to any type of vital monitoring or heart monitors, I guess we don't know when this problem began. We do know we wasted weeks of our time and precious insurance benefits at this hospital.

The facility is great... The doctors are great…read more.. The only problem I have is that waiting... When I have a 3pm appointment, I always show up 15 minutes early, and end up waiting until 3:30 - 3:40 to be taken back to a room... Then I can wait in there 10 - 15 minutes longer in the room before I am seen. I completely understand personalized care based on each unique case requires a little more time... But, other medical specialists I've been to seem to somehow do a much better job of scheduling patients so they don't have to blow a good chunk of their day waiting. Dr, Brunner and Nurse Practitioner Wendy Gross are great... I've been a patient of Dr. Brunner's for 10+ years, and I am very happy with the service provided... I only wish there was a quicker way to be seen.

This place is the worst.... first of all, if you were ever dying or in dire need of medical care…read more.. you would definitely die by the time you get someone on the phone. The office staff is barely civil, let alone helpful...They never have any openings for appointments... even when you're super sick! I don't understand how this is possible as there are at least 5 doctors who work there! When you finally get back to the doctor, after an hour or so wait, when the waiting area is literally deserted... you will have a doctor or nurse prac. who will not even listen to your symptoms or concerns! I was prescribed medicine that made me extremely ill and I asked the nurse prac if I could be given anti-nausea medicine to go with the prescription so I could take it and get better... her response was "just deal with the nausea... surely it's not that bad." ummmmm yes, yes it is that bad or I would have not waited 30 minutes on the phone for someone to freaking answer my question! As you can see from my many other Yelp reviews, I never, ever give a one star review... so you have to be pretty bad for me to do that. Do yourself a favor Yelpers, Find another doctor! This place is simply the worst.
