This butchers offers hot food from its deli counter during the day, unusual bottled drinks, cheeses, sauces, meats as well as great bargain hampers for family feasts. The butchers has won many awards of excellence such as The Bridgestone and The Guild awards. The master butcher, Nigel McCreery, boasts a family history of more than fifty years in the trade - and the skills certainly show in the well run establishment and the tasty produce. I noticed a bargain hamper for families which is something I have never seen before. I am not a fan of butcher shops but this is quite an eye opener. It had a large selection of game including Pheasants and Rabbit locally sourced but it was the black bacon that I came to check out and I came away with some boiling black bacon (an irish dish) and some nitrite free bacon also. This shop is a treasure trove for carnivores and would please the vegetarians if they could bear to venture in as it has a fine array of deli produce and all made with the finest ingredients. I go to The Finest Cut for two reasons - firstly it is an award winning butchers and secondly they sell slimming world products - a really amazing idea as you know what you are getting and you know that it is good. When I went in the first time and asked for slimming world products the guy was like 'you're not on a diet?' I didn't hear anything else he said as I was trying to get over the counter to snog him! After I had asked for slimming world sausages, burgers and kebabs I also bought 'men's meat' for him indoors! I couldn't believe the prices - the place is a bargain!
