I was…read morevery close to making the mistake of not hiring DJ Sage because of the few reviews I found BUT I was fortunate to have asked some of my friends who had actually been to events where DJ Sage had performed and they had nothing but good things to say about him. They rated him with the top DJs of Houston. So I sought to at least have a conversation with him and I was impressed on several areas: 1. Professional and honest. 2. Great value for the price he charges, extremely comparable to the best Houston DJs, including large and popular DJ Groups 3. Sound and Lighting Equipment inventory and quality is second to none! He KILLED IT at our Dance to the Beat of the Dhol event, was on-time with all setup, showed up prepped, met with us few days before with all details we wanted him to aware of for our event. He cooperated and worked without any issues with Jupji Singh (who is THE BEST Dhol Player in Houston). Everyone had so much fun at our event, we were getting texts and calls from our friends following the event specifically calling out how AWESOME the sound system, lighting environment, song play list, and DJ Sage's performance in keeping everyone energized on the dance floor for hours! We had 3 wedding events over past 2 weeks, we kicked it off with DJ Sage, and we had other "highly rated" DJs associated to leading DJ Group in Houston. On average we had 175-200 people at each event, mix folks Pakistani, India, and American's - and unanimously all our friends have said the event with DJ Sage was bar none the BEST and Most Fun they have had in a long time. That's a very diverse demographic that was blown away. So DJ Sage is absolutely awesome, he will be the ONLY DJ I will be seeking at all our events in the future. I am glad I did not over look him because of a handful of event reviews on social platforms because that would have been my loss. He has a great team they had everything setup on time to perfectly. Ray, the lighting engineer he had for our event was excellent and again very cooperative. My photographer was surprised how willing Ray was to adjust lighting programming to help with pictures and video coverage. The lead photographer had not seen any DJ/Lighting engineer to be so flexible. My recommendation to anyone seeking a really awesome desi DJ, contact DJ Sage, establish your expectations honestly BUT then also do the homework that you have todo to provide all the information DJ Sage asks for on-time. He needs time to prep. We provided our sample playlist, event sequence, what we were trying to achieve at the event. The more you prep and organize the better outcome you will have. Successful event requires both You and the DJ to work together. DJ can't create magic the day off if no one is willing todo the pre work.
