I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, not because of the service, which was good. Despite a language barrier, the staff made me feel welcome. This is one reason I feel bad leaving this review. But what made me leave this review is how the food made me feel 8 hours after I left the restaurant. They serve you a well appointed bread basket, a caponata (really delicious, the only thing I'd recommend) an olive plate and a cured Italian meat. I decided to order the burrata, which I always loved. But what I was served was a dry, rubbery, tasteless cheese with a filling that was the consistency of toothpaste. Burrata should be silky, tender and fresh on the outside, and creamy and milky on the inside. The dinner course wasn't much better. I had the filet paillard. The filet wasn't bad, but didn't stand out. It was served with a side of fettuccine in cream sauce, akin to Alfredo. The sauce was gluey and a bit sour. It tasted like something processed from a factory. Italian food is something I love, I've been around it for a very long time. This is not proper Italian food. read more
