It's located in an old, beautiful, meticulously clean big house in quaint Elkins Park where street parking is easy. There's always a yummy candle burning and a friendly smile from girls at the desk to greet you as you walk in. There's an open waiting room with a fireplace and big comfy couches. Very, very inviting!! I've seen Dr Azulay and he was very nice, but I now see Dr. Grant regularly. (Grant is his first name....yea, he's that cool and friendly you can call him by his first name). He is the most amazing addition to this office! Not only is he personable and super sweet, he's completely honest! He prevented me from having extra, expensive, invasive work the other office said I needed!! He didn't even get that mad when I chomped down on his finger by accident, thinking it was cotton. Oopsy! :) Sorry 'bout that. I made a lifelong friend here Julie, one of the amazing hygienist. She's an absolute doll. She knows how to make you feel comfortable and does an absolute thorough job! She makes you completely forget she's poking at you! All of the other hygienists are great too, but Julie is my homegirl. I guarantee you will LOVE her! They can do it all here. Whatever you may need...Cosmetic, emergency (unfortunately I learned this) and obviously regular checkups, you name it. It's honestly a pleasure to come here and really, who says that about the dentist?! Everyone is very safe and makes sure you have protective eye gear on at all times! I called Dr. Funt's office after a recommendation from my dentist. I was able to get an appointment a week later. Everyone in the office was friendly and efficient. Dr. Funt had his routine DOWN. He looked at my x-rays, gave me the information I needed and I scheduled my surgery. The day off my surgery everything ran like clockwork. It actually may have taken longer to numb me than it did to remove my teeth. I was lucky because I did not need stitches. The healing process has been better than I expected and the care I received was top notch. If I grew four more wisdom teeth, I would totally come back here to have my procedure.

Dr. Ganta is the single greatest doctor I've ever had. Plain and simple. I've never had such a caring woman be my advocate. She has been nothing short of wonderful over the years. I have the worst luck in the world when it comes to my teeth and she has helped me with every last problem. She has called me in her off time to check on me, to help me get a plan of care that helped me AND that I could afford. I cannot recommend her enough. The oral surgeon, Dr. Peysakhov is also amazing. ***SURPRISE BILLING!*** I've been going to this dentist for…read moreover ten years. I have great insurance as a firefighter, and they have always told me how they love my insurance because it pays for everything. Since I became a firefighter and got my dental insurance, Advanced family dental has done a ton of work to my teeth. They have changed through numerous dentists here and many receptionists also. The only constant has been Ping, the hygienist. Ping has always been very professional and friendly and has taken care of my family. Today, I decided that we will not return to this place ever again. I came in for my appointment and checked in with the receptionist. This is their moment to check me into the system, see the service I am scheduled for, check that against my insurance, and let me know of any charges I will incur today. They didn't mention anything to me and told me I can take a seat. I have my regular cleaning with Ping, all goes well. Then a woman comes in and tells me that I owe $85 for the service today. I said, "that shouldn't be, I have excellent insurance, and they cover everything." They tell me I'm only allowed 3 cleanings for the year. If I would have been scheduled in January, everything would have been fine. But they checked me in, KNOWING that I would be charged, and didn't mention anything to me. I speak to the woman in charge, and she says, "All I can say is I'm sorry, since the services have already been rendered." They knew I was going to owe something and did not tell me until after they performed the service. I paid the balance and left. I will never return. They also cancelled my wife's previous appointment without calling her and explaining why. They just cancelled it and sent her an email saying she needs to make a new appointment. My wife had taken off work, and they cancelled her appointment. The management of this place is in shambles. It has changed many owners over the years, and it is a sinking ship. Get out while you can. ***ALSO...the orthodontics services received here are SUBPAR. I got Invisalign here and at the same time my wife went to APPEL Orthodontics for Invisalign.
