Dave Christopher is one of those such names but from what I can see, there's no reason not to distrust this place. Dave Christopher is a good solid jeweller with some very nice shops across the South West. The thing I like about this shop as opposed to other jewellers is how it caters for tastes right across the market. On one hand for instance they offer to buy people's gold for cash, alongside seemingly cheap and tacky earrings and gifts - clearly aiming at the lower end of the market. In juxtaposition to this you have a Rotary watch section with price tags that look more like phone numbers! It's a fair place offering good, honest jewellery.

This has to be my favourite Goldsmiths, it is set in the very busy Cribbs Causeway shopping centre…read morewhich is completely surrounded by a very large carpark. This store is over a hour and a half from my home so I normally have to shop in a Goldsmiths closer to home but I make sure I visit this branch at least every few months as there biggest quality is service which is second to none. They like all Goldsmiths are part of the Tesco Clubcard Scheme, but when paying with your Tesco vouchers you are made to feel no different from any other customer. The staff are extremely helpful, and will check other branches for a piece you are looking for or even give you a price to make a specific item. They offer cleaning services, as well as selling a stock of cleaning items for you to take away. Whenever I shop in this store I always feel special everything is always cleaned before given to you, they always give your mirrors so you can see how the piece is looking on your finger or neck, cleaning clothes are provided with purchases and you are always offered a seat and drink. When buying a piece of jewellery whatever the budget it is going to be a special gift for someone, therefore the whole experience should be a good one, as a £15 pair of earrings one day could be a £2,000 ring the next. For a really relaxing, and pleasurable shopping experience I would definately recomend shopping here.

I am always distracted by the sparkly pieces whenever I walk past! Their stock ranges from quite plain, everyday pieces to very expensive diamondy things. Their prices are slightly higher than the high street jewelers but I personally think the quality and variety of their designs are much better. It's definitely worth a trip in if you are in the area.

What is really cool about this place is they can re-size your great aunt's ring so it fits your younger slender fingers or engrave rings/cufflinks/tags etc. They also do repairs. All of this they actually do on site rather than have them sent away so you get exactly what you ask for and it doesn't take weeks!
Hidden away to the side of Clifton Down shopping centre, you'll find Inca; a girlie gift and…read morejewellery shop. Feminine gift shops tend to fall into two categories; one that makes girls want to buy things for themselves and ones that boyfriends rely on for gifts for their girlfriends. Inca falls into the latter category. This is a reliably safe shop for boys you want to pick up a pretty (but expensive) piece of jewellery, or who are in pursuit of a meaningful birthday card. But girls, if you're looking for a gift for your friend, or a treat for yourself I'd sooner head to Bloomsbury or Iota.

There are some with beautiful art prints, a lot of very funny cards and most importantly for me, lots of very original ideas and designs. Inca has a huge range of cards and one for every occasion, all cards are of a good quality, I spent a long time just looking at all the cards - there were so many to choose from! The store has lots of great gift ideas too; candles, scarves, stationary and some gorgeous packaging to wrap your gifts in. The only thing to bare-in-mind is that Inca does not accept card payments of less than £5.00. On the right hand side of the store are a set of jewellery counters housing some lovely sterling silver pieces. Inca is one of the only places offering this sort of jewellery in this area (especially with the recent closure of High-Ho-Silver on the triangle); lots of very interesting designs with heavy silver pendants, bangle and rings with aqua and amber stones. I could easily while-away the hours in this store, and come out with bags of stuff! This review is mostly the opinion of my girlfriend, I tend not to buy much silver jewellery.
