The owner and bartender both spoke a little English and went above and beyond to help us with understanding their menu. We ordered Tapas to share and each order with outstanding. Not only was the food hot, fresh, and tasty, the service was exceptional. Both the owner and bartender were very attentive and made our experience memorable. When we ordered warm Tapas, he asked us to trust him. We chose a shrimp, pork, and fish and the food was so delicious. We also had cocktails that were well priced and fabulous. After 5 drinks and 6 Tapas, our bill was 68 euros. I highly recommend this restaurant. It was very busy with locals. I know because of the way they were greeted when they arrived. This owner has distinguished himself.

I pondered switching over to speaking Spanish, but didn't want to confuse things any more. Had some nice German wine and a collection of tapas - everything was excellent. Didn't get to the main plates (I'm a sucker for tapas) so I can't comment on the offerings there. Dessert (I'm a sucker for that, too) was good - we got a flan and crema catalaña with a sweet sherry. Desserts were decent, but had room for improvement. Would happily go back and recommend this to anybody looking for a change from the great German food in town.

Service was great as we had at least 2 servers catering to our needs. We shared the tapas plate special for 2, and we like it a lot. A fair selection (consisting of artichokes, sardines, olives, seafood salad--love that!, etc), but be aware that it serves mostly as an appetizer as the portion per person was not so big. I had the "Sepia a la Plancha" (grilled squid), and to my surprise (usually I am skeptical about seafood quality in southern Germany), it was fresh and cooked nicely. My friend got the seafood special for 2 (consisting of several types of fish, shrimps, mussels, squid), and they also thought it was cooked nicely. Since our main dishes all come with salad, the servers just brought a huge bowl of salad for us to share. I'm a fan of family-styled dining, so that was a plus for me. Portions for the entree were big, so we had no room left for dessert (sigh...). The meal was on a pricier end, but for a special occasion, one cannot go wrong with Bodega. Tip: If you want to try their Paellas, you would need to make the order much earlier (either a day before or when they open for the day).

The tapas are served on simple white plates, it looks like nothing special but believe me, they are soo delicious!! We always go as a group, so we can share several tapas and paella. The paella is not cheap but of high quality ingredients (they're generous with the seafood) and it's always nice crispy at the bottom of the pan, so make sure to scrape that off! If you're lucky, they have live music and flamenco dancers, which is pretty extraordinary. On a summer night we prefer to sit outside though and get tipsy off the homemade sangria :)

It will still be plenty! The flavor is exactly what you get in Spain. The seafood is fresh and so are the peas. The rice is al dente and overall the texture is just plain amazing! The waitress was a little slow and didn't understand our drink order (we are Germans and talked German so no language barrier) still we had a great time. They also have a "biergarten" so you can sit outside in summer. Only really bad thing is that there's no parking and it's very difficult to find a spot.
