It is always clean and well organised in there. They not only sell books of all genres, but also fun trinkets related to books and Tulsa. This space is a nook of older and first edition books, but not a great spot to find newer used reads. Most of the books are about Oklahoma and Native Americans. There are some smaller sections of science fiction, literature & classic children's books. Inside is well organized but you still feel like an explorer. I'm going to go back as Belle and find the rose behind a book.

The guy that owns the place is pretty nice and seems to know the business. I also love giving my business to locally owned used bookstores. On the other hand a lot (if not most) of the books are WAY WAY WAY overpriced. And I'm not talking about the rare first edition stuff. I'm talking about just run of the mill crap you find in any used bookstore. You know, stuff that anywhere else might cost $2-$4 would cost $10-$15 at Oak Tree. So, I don't know.... I would only recommend this place if you're a collector of rare and/or first edition books, or if there's some book you absolutely have to have but can't find it anywhere else. I only wish this place were cheaper, because, as I said, I like supporting local businesses, but it's just too expensive for the average reader....

Know that you can only use this credit toward half of used book purchases. That is totally OK with me as I will use it up soon. All of the used books are upstairs and are nicely categorized into sections. Really nice selection and the staff has always been very helpful.
