This amazingly talented artist, Airu (@honeybeetattoo_airu) doesn't usually do touch-ups or add color (after so many years later). But considering we went to her to mark the year my healing began, it was extremely important to go back to her to commemorate what I was celebrating that day - the official end to my breast cancer journey. Airu is the first and only female artist that tatted me. She is kind, friendly, meticulous, and clean. When she heard about the reason for doing this, she made the exception to make it happen. The shop had a good atmosphere and everyone was friendly, so I want to acknowledge that. That being said, we're very disappointed with the quality of both tattoos. We followed proper aftercare, but the line work on both pieces healed inconsistently, with shaky lines and areas that appear blown out. One of the designs also came out uneven and not as clean or symmetrical as expected. The fact that this happened with two separate artists on the same day is what concerns us most. It didn't feel like a one-off issue, but more of a reflection of the overall quality during that event. We chose not to return for a touch-up because we didn't feel confident having the same artists rework them. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision, especially when considering flash events.

I came here about two weeks ago to swap my nose ring and nose stud piercing. All I had done was get…read morethem swapped on the sides of my nose. I had jewelry of my own already in, I let the female piercer know that my jewelry needed to be TWISTED in opposite directions for the nose ring to unclip, instead she just pull the two sides apart. She scratched the hell out of my nose ring trying to pull it apart, she then put it in on the other side and did not even clamp my nose ring closed all the way. She did it uneven and the two ends didn't line up, instead when the open clasp would get caught inside my nose it would get stuck since it was not a perfectly closed loop anymore. She also tried closing it and made it lopsided, it is no longer a circle but an uneven oval! I DO NOT RECOMMEND coming here. I had never been here before and this was a terrible experience. This left me with having a messed up piercing since my healed 5 year old nose piercing was irritated due to this mistake she made. Go to a real professional please, instead of here.

We narrowed it down to a few designs, and she printed them in different sizes so we could play with placement. That part was actually really helpful! I didn't feel rushed at all. Once everything felt right, we got started. Tina walked me through what she was doing as she set up, and even told me when she was about to begin, which I appreciated. The tattoo itself was way less painful than I'd built it up to be. She's incredibly precise and has a really light touch. I paid $100 for deposit before they started making a draft for the design. Originally my appointment was late October but rescheduled for mid November. I got there at 1:02 because I got lost in the plaza. The shop is so cozy. It helped with my nerves and they also offered drinks such as coffee or water. It took two sessions to complete my tattoo, but it is so very worth it to have my Moki with me forever. Booking was pretty easy as I waited for the announcement to book for December, and I requested for an appointment. I let Jia know my design idea and attached the photo references. During my appointment, we worked together to finalize the tattoo design. Then it was go time for my tattoo. This is my first and only tattoo, and I absolutely LOVE it! Jia did an incredible job at creating my Moki tattoo. The first session was good with barely any pain, but the second session had some painful moments. Paw Tattoo studio is very pretty in pink, and there's a chill vibe with the lovely music playing. I'm so very happy, and my heart is so fulfilled that I have my Moki with me forever and always.
