I was so impressed with my services and customer treatment at Franklin hair Academy. 1. I was able to text scheduling an appointment and communicate any questions. This was very helpful. 2. They were very accommodating in allowing me to have my three-year-old with me. 3. I did not have to wait long at all and they started my service right away. 4. I had a chemical peel and facial done by Caroline. She was great! She had awesome massage technique, worked with confidence and kept me informed on what to expect. 5. I got my haircut with Isabelle. She was so sweet. She gave me a great cut!, And was efficient with getting help when needed. Very happy with my service. Looking forward to coming back next month for a color, cut, nails, facial and wax in preparation for my trip to Florida! read more

I came in for a facial, easy parking, easy to book. Kind people. Know that it is a school so people are learning, which is great and, of course, that makes the prices great. The facial was a little short for my taste, about 15 minutes, but well done. read more

Laney is amazing !! She provided a great combo of services. I will return soon. Thank you.

The absolute worst place to get your nails done! While I understand they're still leaning, they should not be servicing the public until they can actually do nails! The acrylic was so thick and the filing/shaping was awful! Do not go to LaWanda, she can't even do a basic pedicure without getting nail polish all over the skin and thinks it's her best work! Take your money elsewhere, like seriously! read more

Terrible gel manicure by Keya. She was unprofessional, lazy, sloppy! Seemed more interested in her cell phone than working. The polish was on my skin and cuticles and never dried. I peeled it off in the parking lot! read more

Great school! Highly recommend! Flexible schedule and highly trained instructors! Small class size, one on one instruction.

I'm a current esthetician student, I would highly recommend this school. The aesthetics program is above average because of the amazing teacher, Roxanne. She is a licensed esthetician and a RN. You get the esthetician side but also the medical side to put you ahead. I know I will have more experience from this school than any other school. You get to apply your skills to students but also walk in clients. The owner is full of knowledge and experience. The school is very accommodating with everyone's schedule. This is the place to be to pursue your career in cosmetology, aesthetics, and/or manicurist. read more

Great environment! Teachers are super helpful and students do a great job! Definitely recommend! 10 out of 10!

Great school! The students and instructors always take care of my hair needs! Love going here and love the new management! The atmosphere is phenomenal here! read more

As the parent of a student of their Cosmetology Program, I do not recommend this school for your young adult! Our tour of the school was great and the Director (who is also on the Board of Cosmetology) made the program seem far more than it was. When we brought our concerns to them, they were defensive and tried to make it seem that they had it all together and that my daughter was not getting what she needed out of the program because she was not self motivated. My daughter was told to find something to do, go read a chapter, and that the instructor didn't have time to show her things. It is ver unprofessionally run. We cut our losses, which totaled $3,000, and are moving on to a much more professional environment. read more

I attended Franklin Hair Academy for a little over two months and that was enough to realize that it was not the right place to study cosmetology. I chose this school in the beginning to save money because all other schools were very high in price. In the long run, I ended up spending even more money because I dropped out and spent over $3000 and now I'm having to pay for a new school. If you are the kind of learner who can retain information by staring at your textbook for two hours, or not get confused on how to do a haircut when you're taught 3 different ways by 3 different people.. then this will be a great fit. If you don't mind going to a school that will prepare you for your state board but not for an actual salon setting.. go here! If you don't mind people that really just care about your money and not your education.. then you've found the right spot! As for me, and I advise all of you, please spend the extra money and get into a professional environment where you will get advanced education. read more

I went to this school for Aesthetics, and my experience was absolutely terrible. As for cosmetology, maybe not. But for someone who went a different route, they were everything BUT prepared. To start, they don't have a full-time teacher with an actual aesthetics license. She's only there maybe 4-6 hours a day, 4 days a week. Any other time, the only teacher their is licensed in cosmetology; her aesthetics license is retired --- and she's the only one who actually took time out of her day to teach me. Other than that, I was pushed into a class with the other cosmetology students, and any other teaching was me sitting in the back of the school reading my book and taking tests. I rarely had any one on one training in the aesthetics room about proper technique or sanitation, and when I eventually transferred schools, I found out that there sanitation techniques weren't even up to code. Not only that, when I received my kit, which I paid $700+ for, I only had HALF of what was promised to me. It was a month before someone checked it and told me I didn't have everything I needed. At this point, I complained to my parents, and my mother decided to talk with Patty Richmond, the owner, before handing over my next payment. She was very displeased. It's been a year since I've been there, but I'm sure not much has changed. My advice, DO NOT GO HERE if you are planning to get your aesthetics license. They only give you 3 DAYS to decide whether or not you want to stay at their school without charging you money, which isn't fair at all. Trust me, spend a little extra money and get ten times as much direction and understanding about this field. It's a very very very hands on job, and it's very important to get proper training. Franklin Hair Academy cannot provide that. read more

I had a very reasonably priced haircut, and the student I had did a great job. I was very impressed to hear about the career she was starting after graduation and the great job she already had lined up before graduation. I can't wait to show off my new 'do in my next commercial! read more

No matter wherever else I could've gone, I could not have gotten a better haircut/style. These students have put in many many hours and are very adept. The instructors are on the floor, readily available, but do not "hover". Unlike other salons, these students take the time to listen to their clients, learn what the client's vision really is, and then take their time achieving the results the client wants. The atmosphere is not a high-end, frou-frou, indoor-fountain, professionally decorated, wine-by-the-glass kind of place... But what would you rather pay for? The surroundings or your hair? I have found my new salon :-) read more

I keep trying to give Franklin Hair Academy a chance, but this time they have really failed. I have tried to reach the director but it appears she is not "in" very often. I understand a student is doing the work but there was no oversight for the work being done. I had a facial that lasted all of 30 minutes and she got product all over my top as she did not give me a cape to wear. Recently I had a manicure, which in effect was a polish change, the student did not even begin the manicure correctly, you are supposed to start with the left pinkie, and do the polish in 3 strokes. read more
