One Star Clinic, 5 Star Vet I have taken my pit mix here multiple times in the past, and every experience has been stressful (for me and my pet) and disappointing. The visit before this one resulted in my pet sitting in the exam room for 20+ minutes in a muzzle just for the vet to come in and inform me that she did not feel safe seeing him unless he was sedated. If it were not for my visit today, I would give the clinic one star. Dr. Smith saw us today and made the process as stress free as possible. She was calm, supportive, and flexible. If I were reviewing Dr. Smith alone, I would give her 5 stars! If you have an anxiety prone dog or a breed with an unfortunate stigma, I would recommend seeing Dr. Smith for the best care. Thank you Dr. Smith!

We have been taking our fur babies here for over 12 years. Every veterinarian we have seen, has been empathetic to us and so gentle and kind to our kids. Sarge has been a problem patient because of all his maladies but they have taken the time to look at everything. We were concerned when Dr P left (we all loved her) but Dr Stropes, Dr Record, Dr Smith, and of course Dr Mills have been outstanding with him during numerous surgeries, "overnights", visits, medication refills, etc and explaining why he has to be on certain prescriptive foods and all his meds. The only time I was concerned was when they were short Vets and it took a few weeks to get in for an appointment. We all think it's an emergency for our pets but in reality it is not. We, including Sarge, loves them all.

Franklin Animal Clinic has been the best vet in the area. Dr. Mills is especially good and took great care of my sick cat. Even though she was critical, they did the best they could to help her. I have since switched my other furries over to their practice and definitely recommend if you are looking for a vet. They have someone there 24 hours, which makes me feel better if I have to leave one of my animals overnight.

I have been looking for a good vet in this area. My previous vet in Bargersville was very rough with my dog, was trying to quickly get in and out of the visit and it just wasn't a great experience. We wanted a new vet and this week we got a new puppy and I needed a same day appointment due to concerning stool and this facility got me in same day thankfully. First of all their office smells amazing (definitely didn't expect that for a vet haha). The staff and vet were all super helpful, were patient and answered every question we had and treated us with kindness. We are making this our new vet for all our animals. Definitely recommend for all animal lovers.

Today I had to bring my remaining cat in for an appointment that I felt was urgent due to her inability to poop since Thanksgiving (5 days). First- the front desk staff were all new. I've never seen them before and they were not nearly as warm and inviting as the ones we were used to. Second- Dr. Ruehle didn't have any openings, so we saw Dr. Spencer. I don't recommend seeing Dr. Spencer for any vet needs. Our cat has lost 2lbs in 6 months and Dr. Ruehle stated it could be due to her change in diet (on special food now). She stated we can add in some of her previous food with the preventative kidney food since her labs looked better in the most recent labs and her levels were still in normal range, but if we notice anymore weight loss or any other issues come up then imaging may be warranted to make sure nothing else is going on. One week later our cat was unable to poop, had leakage from anal glands all over the house every time she tried to poop and has been miserable. Due to the holiday, this was the first time we could get her in to see someone. When we got there we went to the smallest room I've ever been in at that location, the vet tech left my senior cat on the scale and I could not get to her as I'm a wheelchair user, and my arthritic cat jumped off the tall counter onto the floor after much pondering about how she would get down. When Dr. Spencer came in, I tried to tell her about her prior issues and said Dr. Ruehle suggested imaging if she showed signs of issues. Dr. Spencer didn't appear to be concerned about what I had to say as she just turned around to do a check up on my cat. She did a very quick and seemingly rushed exam and said we need to change her food back to her preventative kidney food only because adding back in her prior food was the cause with no further exploration regarding her current issues. I asked if she could please check her anal glands and express them if needed. She agreed to do this and scooped up my cat and she and the vet tech left the room. I could hear my cat screaming from down the hall. Dr. Ruehle had to do this for one of our other cats before she she did it right in the room, so I was taken aback at the fact that they just took my cat. Dr. Spencer came back in, said "They were really impacted" and then said the tech would check me out. No further information or explanation given, and I paid $119 for a visit that was about 1/3 the length of time our visits with Dr. Ruehle are. Dr. Spencer spent no more than 10 min with me and my cat. She didn't seem to care at all about why we were there and it felt as if we were wasting her time. Third- Once I got home and my cat settled, I called to have them give a message to Dr. Ruehle about my concerns regarding my cat and was cut off because the front desk lady who answered the phone didn't want to wait to hear what was going on. She cut me off mid sentence and said, "let me see if Dr. Ruehle can just talk to you" and she put me on hold. She got back the phone after a short time and said Dr. Ruehle is in a room right now but she will message her to call me without getting any further information about why I'm calling. I hope Dr. Ruehle can call me as soon as possible to see if there is anything she would do differently, or if she wants imaging done. If she does, that will mean another traumatizing visit to the vet for my elderly cat that could have been taken care of today. I will not allow any other vet to see any of my pepts other than Dr. Ruehle from now on! I have given Meridian Veterinary Clinic a 5 star review on Google, but I'm thinking of updating that as well.
