I found out from another plumber and air company that these gentlemen don't "give their technician a $500 bonus for getting a new unit put in". Yes, many do this. The technician came out and worked on one of my units that is 20 years old, telling me it was old school and in great shape. THIS WAS FIVE YEARS AGO!!!!! Our HVAC system was 37 years old and working, but it was limping along with what we are sure was less than efficient. We wanted to get our system replaced before it failed in the high heat of the summer. A couple of companies assessed our home, and Franklin's assessment made more sense. Our ductwork is in our attic, and I had been in the attic over the last couple of years fixing subpar wiring and laying new insolation, so I knew that our ductwork was in a tragic state, with much of it brittle to the touch. Franklin thoroughly replaced our system, including AC, furnace, duct work, and new vent covers and returns. Every member of the Franklin team, from sales, office workers, technicians, and supervisors, was polite, professional, and friendly. We have had contractors doing projects in our homes before, and Franklin was the only one to clean up thoroughly after every workday. The week after Franklin finished, we had a contracted energy efficiency advisor assess our house for weatherizing, and he repeatedly complimented how nicely the ductwork was sealed and how well the furnace was installed and sealed. Having an entire HVAC system installed is a significant investment. Having the right company ensure that a quality system is installed correctly is imperative. We are thankful we found Franklin. Honestly I'm never using another company again. I've used Franklin on multiple occasions for repairs on my old furnace. They were willing to work on my older unit to keep it running when most other companies just tried to force me to replace. Unfortunately, the unit finally died a few weeks ago and I needed to replace. Franklin came out really fast to give me a quote. I had received a quote from another company that was DOUBLE what Franklin quoted. Franklin also really explained everything that would need to be done and had transparent pricing. They were communicative and came back within two days to install my new unit. The team that came out went above and beyond to make sure the install was done well. They even helped me install a part that was missing on the unit that caused a really bad leak from my AC a few years ago. They installed a new thermostat and helped me check for any rebates. I contacted Franklin Plumbing for q quote to replace a pressure regulator value. I was able to send some pictures and received a quote on the phone. I decided to replace a dated hot water heater, have the value replaced, and to move our shut off value to be more accessible. They were able to come in just a couple of days, the work was done in a timely manner and the price was a few hundred dollars less than other quotes I got. My only minor issue was that the workers didn't have all the tools and parts needed to get the job done quickly, but they responded as well as they could. I had initially given a 5 star review, but I had to change it. I wish I could give a 4.5 because these guys have made good on their word and fixed the issues. Its the fact that I had to call them back out a couple times that is irritating and took from the 5 stars. I had my HVAC installed by Franklin last month after reading numerous reviews on brands, who carried the different "top 5ish brands" and then the reviews on those companies. After having quotes and dates etc, I decided to use Franklin. They came out and installed my new HVAC, removed the old within just a couple days. I rescheduled last minute because the rain had me having anxiety about them tracking tons of mud in and my dogs being in and out all day. At first I was a little mad because they had to move the electric shutoff box thing on the back of the house (which I was not told about) and left a big open, ugly hole where they moved it. Also, inside the furnace closet, though the ceiling was damaged from a previous leak, we didn't have a huge gaping hole up there. When Franklin was done, we had a decent sized hole in the ceiling in the furnace closet. I called them the following day and they had someone come out here to "inspect" the work done. They put on a box on the back of the house to cover up the unsightly hole that was left, and they put a metal ring thing around the top of the vent in the closet to cover up the big hole into the attic. ADDITIONALLY, the guy didnt even have to do this, but he got on top of my house to make sure that the exhaust from the furnace thing was correct on the roof. I was grateful for the fix, but I feel like that should have been done in the first place without having to call them back. Then, when I turned on my A/C for the first time, it wasn't blowing cold air. The condenser wasn't coming on. I thought we had shut off all the breakers and turned them back on (which didn't resolve it). So, I called them to let them know the condenser wouldn't work. They sent someone out immediately, and the breaker that controlled the condenser was the only one that was unlabeled in my panel, and it was off *facepalm* I think the guy that came to fix things after the first time, probably shut it off and forgot to turn it back on. The ONLY reason for the slightly lower review is, I really shouldn't have had to call them back out. HOWEVER they have redeemed themselves and made good on their work. read more

Our heater stopped working, right as temps dipped down into the 40s. Tyler came out and had the problem diagnosed in a matter of minutes - a faulty wire that connected the thermostat to the unit. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to HVAC and was worried it would be a much bigger, pricier issue. And he could have easily insinuated such and I would have paid it. I appreciate the honesty and the prompt service. If we have issues in the future we will not hesitate to call Franklin again! read more

Update: My tax preparer completed the necessary forms and filed requesting the federal tax rebate for my unit. It made a big difference in the amount of taxes I had to pay. Heating unit working fine. AC worked fine last summer and actually saved me money in electricity. Franklin has made every effort to answer my questions and make things right. Good customer service. read more

I made a call earlier today to see if they could send someone out to take a look at the duct work in our attic. My husband had noticed that there was a sagging in one portion of it that led to a couple of rooms where we have issues heating and cooling them. They were able to come out later today and take a look and address the sagging piece of duct work in our return air system, as well as adjust some of the baffles in the airflow to help regulate the temperature in those rooms. That was refreshing so when I decided it was time to finally replace my HVAC system I called them and loved the price (it was lower than other estimates I had gotten). The installers were professional and spent time going over the new system both prior to install and after. They even installed a whole house air purifier for not much more.
