Went here for brunch when visiting a local friend. It was very busy which is a good sign. Ordered a 'mug' of coffee and the Eggs Benedict with potato rosti instead of muffins. Our waiter was friendly and happy to explain menu queries even though he was run off his feet. Coffee arrived in a reasonably large teacup. A bit weird. There was also a 'mega mug' kind of option, which turns out is what you would call 'a mug'. OK now I'm just confused. Coffee was ok - hey I'm from Melbourne and I wasn't in Melbourne so was prepared to be a bit forgiving. What I can't be forgiving about is the slap dash use of the term 'potato rosti' or however you want to spell it. What I got was 2 potato croquettes - crumbed and fried mashed potato. Not a great start. The eggs were acceptable but dumped all over them was some creamy goop straight out of a packet (mixed from powder??). Where's the 'real' hollandaise guys?? Apparently Frankies assumes country folk can't tell the difference. Oh dear. Dish ruined. It wasn't exactly cheap either, so not sure I would venture back. read more

Lovely coffee shop with room inside and out! Great staff and the pastries looked so good my mouth watered. However I had to be strong and not give in to the temptation. Will return when I have no restrictions and indulge with a piece of cake or pie! A little pricey but what coffee shop isn't these days? read more

Busy, funky cafe. Lots of room inside, but could do with some umbrellas for the outside tables. Good coffee, tasty lunch menu (sliders were pretty good and the chips were great) and pleasant staff. Reasonably priced as well. read more

Ok first of all the time it takes to make the food and bring it out is a while I was very bored sitting there. They have a weird rule about no drinking alcoholic beverages inside don't know why. When the food got there it was pretty average but it kept me busy for 10 min I think they would be more successful if the food got there faster or if it was just a bakery but that's just my opinion. read more

This is one restaurant that has gotten too big for its britches. The restaurant has renovated and expanded into failed businesses probably twice. The atmosphere is really loud as the music is distorted across the different parts of the restaurant. The waiting staff are often confused about there zones. They often forget your orders or confuse them. The food is ok I guess. But there is not one ounce of creativity in the food preparation. And the food is over priced for what you get . Don't order the bacon because it is sometimes undercooked. read more
