My family had a terrible and heartbreaking experience with Wolf Run Veterinary Clinic. My parents…read moretrusted them to board our family dog, Bodhi, while we were out of town for my wedding because he is a patient there and requires insulin injections twice a day. The night of my rehearsal dinner, my mom received a call that completely ruined what should have been a special weekend. We were told that a vet tech gave Bodhi 80 units of insulin instead of 8 units. This is an extremely dangerous mistake, especially for a 22-pound dog. I spent the night before my wedding unable to sleep, terrified about whether he would be okay. Bodhi then had to spend the next two nights on IVs and under monitoring. When my parents were finally able to pick him up, he was covered in pee and poop, had sores from licking, and still had the catheter in his leg. The woman who handed him over said she had never removed one before but could "give it a try." Four days later, Bodhi is still suffering from bloody diarrhea and shaking day and night. What happened was careless, traumatic, and completely unacceptable. Please think twice before boarding your pet here or trusting them with medical care. There are other options in the area, and I wish we had read the reviews more carefully before trusting them with our dog.

She was SO Wonderful with her Huge Empathic Heart towards me. I was called early the next morning only to hear he was too Sick and his Organs had been shutting down for a while due to the Negligence of his Vet he'd seen for 3 yrs!! She overdosed him on Prednisone a dangerously strong Steroid!! She gave him Pancreatitis the second day he was on way too high of amount PREDNISONE! I Trusted her! All she kept doing were blood tests! She missed an Infection he had on the first blood test. For two yrs I kept taking him in for Strange weight gain and he couldn't even climb his stairs anymore to get on the bed. I told he was acting Strange and walking Funny. He had mushy feeling shoulders. She told me he had Fat Packs?? Huh? He had Cushing's Disease!! I'm not the only one that had a dog DIE UNDER THEIR CARE! I Wish I had taken Finn to Wolf run Veterinary Hospital from the beginning! Finn was Never Sick so just shots. Loyalsock Veterinary Hospital is Cheaper than other Bets and closer. Their CHEAPER TO PULL YOU IN! Then they Kill your pets because All the Vets there are HORRIBLE!! Dr Pardoe not only Killed Finn she destroyed my Mental Health Stability and I'm still Suffering! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WOLF RUN VETERINARY HOSPITAL WHERE YOU AND YOUR PET ARE TREATED WITH HIGHLY KNOWLEDGEABLE VETERINARIAN's!! Spend that Extra Couple of Dollars to see Vets that could save your Furbabies lives! Everything Finn had was Treatable and he could've Survived with the Proper Care! I Highly Recommend Wolf Run to everyone I talk to Especially through my Service Dog Work and even My Online Poodle Groups! Thank you for trying to save Finn's Life! I had him Cremated and even as hard as that was I was treated with such Empathy! His Cremation wooden Box is SO Beautiful! I was Pleasantly Surprised at the Beautiful Bag it came in along with his Foot Print, Sympathy Card and even a Memorial Booklet with a Hotline if you needed to talk about your pets passing.

Extremely disappointed. As a new client, my initial phone interaction was pleasant--friendly,…read moreknowledgeable staff. However, my appointment experience was unacceptable. I waited in the parking lot for over 30 minutes for a curbside pickup, despite being one of only two vehicles there. I had to call 18 times over 9 minutes to get through, only to wait an additional 25 minutes after being told someone would be "right out." When my cat was finally taken in, I voiced my concerns about handing over a pet who had recently undergone bladder surgery, especially under a curbside model that doesn't allow direct communication with the vet. Less than five minutes later, I received a call saying they couldn't treat my cat because he was "too aggressive." He's never shown aggression with family or previous vets. He returned to me terrified and panting, while the staff member had a scratch on her arm. They didn't charge me for the visit--an empty gesture considering the distress caused. If your team can't calmly and competently handle a frightened 8-lb cat, perhaps you shouldn't be accepting new patients. I will never return and cannot recommend this practice to anyone.

They were very up front and matter of fact about the situation. Apollo was in a lot of pain and he was sedated for blood testing and X-rays. They sent me home because of how critical he was letting me know it was possible they would keep him overnight. I wasn't expecting to get a phone call as soon as I did, but Dr. Tom confirmed what I feared. Apollo had back problems for a long time, the fall exacerbated the issue and he wasn't a candidate for surgery because of how bad it was. His quality of life had diminished and I couldn't stand to see him suffer anymore, so I made the difficult decision to have him put down. Everyone in the office made the process easy and handled the situation with such compassion and care. I can't thank the staff and Dr. Tom enough for helping me say goodbye to my best friend.

She stayed with our dog for 5 evening/nights/early mornings at a time when our new dog was just getting acclimated to his new surroundings. For this specific assignment, Amy charged us $50/night. Personally, I believe this was too LOW. Amy is detailed in noting all requirements of her assignments. And, most importantly, she is very loving with your pet(s). Amy is a dog owner and understands intricacies of doggie life. Lastly, Amy sent us pics and reports daily of our dog while we were away on vacation. I could not recommend Amy Kaufmann more highly.
