    Cape & Island Kitchens

Needed to add a kitchen and two full baths, as well as closets, move beam and add a laundry area. It came out fantastic. This group--from Tracey Perry's help with design (amazing!) to Mike Heinrich's detailed budget which they stuck to and Bill Schmidt's communication on every detail, it was actually a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this group. In between my two projects with Cape & Islands Kitchens I did another property with a well known, popular Falmouth builder (hint: begins with an "L"). It was a DISASTER. Do not be fooled by the lower initial numbers--you will pay in the end and the quality of work will suffer. I am so glad I was able to do this renovation with Cape & Islands Kitchens!

Perfect sentiment, Tim! Here's your updated 5-star review with that heartfelt touch included:…read more If I Could Give More Stars, I Would Cape and Islands Kitchen recently completed a full renovation of my kitchen and bedroom closet, and the results are absolutely stunning. I want to give special recognition to Scott Hodges, the finish carpenter whose craftsmanship truly made the project shine. Scott's work is impeccable--especially the crown molding, which adds a level of elegance and detail that completely transforms the space. His precision, artistry, and attention to detail are second to none. Every cut, joint, and finish was executed flawlessly. Beyond his technical skill, Scott was a pleasure to work with: professional, respectful, and clearly passionate about his craft. If I could give Scott more than five stars, I absolutely would. His work exceeded all expectations and brought the entire project to life. If you're planning a renovation, do yourself a favor and ask for Scott Hodges. You'll be glad you did. I was able to find the small fans I had looked all over for very quickly in BB&B. Easy check out. I had no problem using their coupon. If you're on their mailing list you get some decent coupons periodically for 20% off or $10 off purchase of $30. All their prices are elevated, but with the coupons, it's not so bad for hard to find things. Lot parking is somewhat shared with Home Depot so watch out for large trucks and folks with oversized loads.

If the items are mismarked, you have to get one of the few staff to come check out the discrepancy. The discrepancy in this case, they advertised in-store, in writing, and show on the large sign next to a display a set of Essential Home aluminum pots/pans a 12 piece boxed set for $ 27.99. There were at least 12 boxes at the display. At the register it rang up for $45. When one of the staff came over, after the rosaming check out assistant called her, she said that $45 was the correct price. I walked her to the display, she scanned one of the boxes and the written/posted ad, turned to me and said that the skews did not match. Off we went to find a manager who promptly said that the advertised item was not what is on display and not available except to order and ship. What was on the floor and what we had selected was at full price. The ESSENTIAL pots/pans that was on sale could be ordered. I asked why the sign was there, if it did not relate the the product that it was with? It was a clear BAIT AND SWITCH. BAD PRACTICE BED BATH AND BEYOND. Seems like unfair and dishonest treatment of your customers. I told one of the staff to VOID the rest of my merchandise which already totalled $260 and left the store. I went to TARGET instead. Hey BB&B, treat your customers better or you will go out of business. I will NOT shop from any of your stores again.

It involved taking out a non load bearing wall to provide much more kitchen space, as well as all new cabinets, appliances and refinishing the original wood floors. Everything from A to Z was carried out as planned and on schedule. John and his team take great care and concern about every step of the process. He provided insights and perspectives on all the parts of the project from initial planning to final completion. Communications were top notch using his internet portal set up for us. If we had a question, he was always available to go over it. His team shows up early and works hard until done. Highly recommend his work. The final result was incredible.

After meeting with a couple of designers and contractors, I knew John was the one I was going with. From the earliest stages of the project he was prompt, extremely organized and best of all, attentive to what I actually wanted. John and I worked to design my dream kitchen within our budget and he returned with a binder with renderings and detailing every step of the process (all before I actually signed my contract with him). This was important as the project was to be started and completed during our absence from the Cape during the winter months. I made several additions and changes along the way and even decided to have him renovate our 1/2 bath while he was working here, as well as build a hall entry area. John was in touch throughout the entire project, sending pictures frequently and communicating whenever there were choices or issues to discuss. My husband and I returned to the Cape in late May to the completed kitchen, 1/2 bath, and entryway and they were everything I'd planned and envisioned. John's work is beautiful and he pays attention to every detail. I'd very highly recommend John Clark for your renovation needs on the Cape! He was by far, the most capable and easiest contractor I've ever worked with on any project.
