He's a wonderful doctor, really pays attention to his patients, and has a no-nonsense approach to cardiovascular health that I though was refreshing. While he prescribes medicines when he has to, he made it very clear that nothing but a true lifestyle change was going to keep me from having another heart attack, and has been relentlessly supportive and helpful as I change my exercise and eating habits.

In addition, be aware that he has not worked at the UC Davis Sacramento location for at least three years. Rather his office is located at the UCD Folsom site. I recommend Dr. Morfin unconditionally.

I feel sometimes he should have become a psychiatrist. When I was stressed out, and just couldn't deal with having a pap, he would just sit and talk with me. When I went in for a mole patrol, and was beside myself, crying, because I got dumped, or when my mom was sick, or whatever, he would just sit and talk with me. He never tried to cajole me into stop crying. He listened and gave advice and related to me. And he's wicked funny and down to earth. So, why am I mad, you ask? He's not in private practice anymore! However, if you are lucky enough to be admitted to Sutter General or Memorial, he may be your doctor as he is now part of the Hospitalist program there. Dang. I really felt lucky to have him as my doc.
