The boy told me I could only have a receipt if I paid by phone (Zelle/Venmo,) not by cash then this lady (assuming his mother) started yelling at me and told me I was holding up the line.(there was one other person in line) then she yelled at me that this was California and everything was expensive and commented on my Louis Vuitton wallet. I'm glad she can spot a good fake designer wallet In a way I'm glad my granddaughter was with me so I could teach her in this moment not to be mean or rude to people just because they don't have money. I also apologize to the lady and told her it was my fault that I didn't realize I had chosen something that was going to weigh this much, but she just rolled her eyes at me and didn't care. In the end, I am glad that I asked for my money back. I bought six peaches and two apples for $10 from a few stands down. Is it because I am white with blonde hair that this lady was so MEAN and rude to me? Or was it because she thought I had a designer wallet? I felt sorry for her son. This was a teaching moment for him as well and he just sat there humble and quiet. I felt really bad for him. It is really sad that we have gotten to this point in America that we treat each other with so much hate, and unkindness. All I wanted was a receipt to show my husband how much I paid for the peaches! I was not trying to cause any trouble. Honestly, what did I do? The lady yelled at me that this is a farmers market, but I have gotten handwritten receipts off of a generic receipt pad before from places like this in the past. It's not like my request was from left field . It hasn't been a big deal in the past. I will never ever buy from this farm again and I tell everyone to AVOID THIS BUSINESS as well just for the embarrassment you put me through with my granddaughter. The one star is for the young man who stayed in control and was not confrontational or emotional or just plain MEAN. ‍

They cracked open with ripeness! There was a really adorable little hay stack enclosed section where they had the larger size pumpkins located. There were corn stalks, small pumpkins, gourds, and a scarecrow. Adorable; my nephew and I had fun picking out a pumpkin in the cordoned off haystack area. They also offer fresh honey, dehydrated fruits, bagged nuts and tons of produce. The woman operating it was friendly and patient with us as we hemmed, hawed and guffawed at the options available. Stop in! It's right off the road with easy parking and easy in/out.

Not a single car in the parking lot... not any customers at all on the property. I was the ONLY one there and she couldn't get rid of me fast enough to continue playing on her phone. I was shocked. Was looking to purchase roasted & UNSALTED pistachios but the lady (busy attending to other customers who wanted to sample the nut butters) said they don't have it. My purchase was for $14, not bad considering the organic, roasted & unsalted pistachios at Sprouts were for $12.49. The Fiesta pistachios have all the flavors they have available. Some featured flavors that I noticed after I have paid for mine were, garlic, jalapeño....I would've gotten the garlic for sure! Next time. Snacked on these on the way home & these were really good, packed with flavors, especially the garlic are pretty spicy. Will definitely try other flavors when I visit next tome. Hopefully the vendor would be more attentive.

I've always wanted to check out the Vineyard Farmer's Market and just never made it over. It was my lucky day as I snuck over while my fiancé was at his appointment. The Vineyard is beautiful and it was a lovely sunny day, just a bit windy. I was surprised at all the vibrant and quality produce offered. There were other vendors selling honey, flowers, food, coffee - even La Boulangerie bakery from Fig Garden had a booth! I honestly felt transported elsewhere for a bit. It felt like a genuine Farmer's Market and easily my favorite in Fresno now. Everything I purchased from this quick visit- I loved. The pastries from La Boulangerie, the coffee from Fabiano, the strawberries I actually purchased from 2 farmers, notably Maos Farms were the sweetest we've had all year and the produce was beautiful and delicious. I eyed some grape leaves sold by an older couple- the last one was purchased before I could say, hello, lol. They looked delicious. Great quality items from local farmers and vendors. I can't wait to return again.

My issue is with the behavior of the woman who was in charge of the market and the way she chose to treat us. Our 1-pound Yorkie puppy was completely contained inside a small purse and was never walking around or bothering anyone. The market manager approached us and demanded that we leave. I explained that I just needed to purchase a few tomatoes and finish buying the vegetables I came for. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she repeatedly made loud comments to other customers about people not knowing how to follow the rules while standing uncomfortably close to us, making us feel publicly embarrassed and intimidated. It felt less like enforcing a policy and more like trying to shame us in front of everyone. The most disturbing part was when she expected my 11-year-old granddaughter to wait outside the market by herself while I finished shopping. That is not a reasonable expectation, and it made my granddaughter feel anxious and uncomfortable. As the person representing and managing the farmers market, I would expect professionalism, courtesy, and respect. Unfortunately, none of those were shown today. Rules can absolutely be enforced without humiliating families or creating a hostile environment.
