At the recommendation of someone, I hired Mr. Franco to paint the interior of my home. His estimate was quite high, but he was including high quality paint and was able to start immediately. I never received a written estimate. He brought 3 of his sons to help and it was hard for me to observe due to the chaos in my small townhouse. Mr. Franco speaks broken English, so his sons had to communicate with me when I had questions or concerns. I observed that they did no prep whatsoever on the walls and didn't use tape to properly paint my baseboards. I watched as his son just swiped the tops on the baseboards, leaving an obvious difference after drying. I asked him about it a he swiped 2 or 3 places. It was a very inadequate job. There are several spots of paint that were spilled on my carpet as well. I'm not sure how many coats of paint they put on my walls, but the paint did not cover the walls in my living room well and the old color is bleeding through. In my kitchen, as well. I asked them to put another coat on, but they said they were out of paint, but if I wanted to buy more and pay them for their time, they would do it. To me, they should have known by experience how much to buy. Lastly, Mr. Franco broke a bolt on my commode in the guest bathroom while painting behind it. It moved the commode several inches and the impact caused a piece to break a hole in the drywall attached to the valve. I didn't notice for a couple days. I let him know however and he gave me his son's number, who is training to be a plumber. He said he would fix the commode for $200!!! And they broke it! I ended up asking a friend to help me replace the bolts and wax ring. The drywall is still damaged. I asked for a receipt for the paint job 2 or 3 times and never got one. Never will I use nor recommend this company for anything. The took advantage of a single senior woman. I have attached a few pictures of their shoddy workmanship. Unfortunately some have been deleted already. read more
